Hello all! Repurposed blog take two!

I wanted to make used of my 3rd blog spot (I know it's technically unlimited, but why keep an idea I'm gonna unuse anyway?)

But this is a blog I've been meaning to do for a while: sharing my love of trading cards! I know Pokemon and sports are a lot of the big attention anyway, but seem to be shared by those who either want to share only the biggest hits they have or cards/methods that'll get them the most profit. My ideal goal with this blog:

A lot of cool stuff in my collection, some cool stuff I'm sure I'll come across in the future. But hoping that I can embrace the fun. Sure, furry is just a part of me otherwise, but why not embrace it? May not be relevant, but they're cool beans, and it's cool to share with everyone.

It is difficult to find a place to land these days. Not long ago, Garry stopped watching the news. Okay, not entirely stopped, but he has about a five-minute window before he begins to get crazy. At which point I suggest changing the channel would be a better choice than throwing things at the television. We can’t afford another TV and right now, we need one.

Changes Coming

I drove down to south San Jose today to pick up an IKEA loft bed I bought off Craigslist. Here’s hoping all the parts are actually there. On Saturday I’m heading to Oakland to pick up an identical one, this time with mattress. It’s a lot of driving, but it’s worth it. In a couple weeks, weekend visitation is finally going to start with the kids.

Holy shit guys. I get to be an actual Right Honorable Wicked Stepmother. Like, with kids in the house and everything! We’re gonna have pancake breakfasts and bedtime stories and craft projects on the table and sand tracked in the house and adventures in the park and sibling slugfests and kite flying and too-early mornings punctuated by shrieks and giggles.

Speaking of shrieks and giggles...when we moved in, the people upstairs asked, “Do you have kids???” and when we said yes, but they don’t live with us, the neighbors’ relief was palpable. I get that they don’t want Kid Noise. But then, I don’t want clomping all over the house at 5 AM noise, or evening teevee noise, or talking on the cell phone using an outside voice noise. When the clomping wakes us up, Carlo smiles at the ceiling and says, “Karma’s coming, guys.”
