Transphobes love to go on about how queer people are making bathrooms/changerooms unsafe
And what I think is especially insidious about this is how it flips the script. It doesn't just make queer people out to be predators and aggressors, and Poor Sweet Innocent Cishets as victims, it also takes a place that just about every queer person I know considers traumatic and says WE are the dangerous ones there. That for all the fear and vulnerability that we experienced because we weren't cishet but had no choice to exist in these spaces, for all we want to just feel a little safer, we're the problem.
It's infuriating.
