The smell of blood was fresh in the air. Corpses of flesh and steel littered the land below, a reminder of the skirmish that had just taken place here. Clutched within sharp black claws, Infinite held one of the resistance members. The feline’s small claws ripped and scratched at his arms; a futile attempt to escape. They were barely worth the effort to kill and yet he still held fast to the male. They were almost recognizable. Their name was nothing he knew, but he could tell he’d seen this one before. Their deep blue fur, sharp black peacoat, glaring red eyes… Yes, they were a constant thorn in the empire’s side. Head tilting to the side, he regarded them with a cool gaze that gave way to none of the thoughts running through his head.
“I let you go once before,” he spoke, tone flat as he cut their air flow without an ounce of care. “You didn’t repay me with kindness but with violence. Rest assured, I will repay the damage you’ve caused in full.”
The sharp sound of their throat being crushed within his grasp was easy enough to ignore after all the death he’d spread today. Red stained fur was tossed aside as if it were nothing but a bag of garbage. With that vile insurrection taken care of, he felt that it was finally safe to leave until a bobbing head of white and red just behind the debris caught his eye. Clicking his tongue in distaste a hand was lifted toward the barrier of destruction. A sharp jerk of claws to the right and anything blocking his view of this beast was slammed into the nearest building. Sounds of screeching metal ringing out in a deafening cacophony. Vision obstructed, the jackal was left to openly growl at the… child? Rather suddenly all sound stopped, the jackal giving this small human a confused look through his mask. What were they doing out here within this war torn city?
