Notes: I had intended to post this on Tuesday, but I completely forgot. It’s been a while since I’ve posted an EXO scenario, so I figured that I write one real quick. I hope you all enjoy it!
“As if spinning on the chair wasn’t dangerous on its own, you are doing it standing up!” You said with panic in your voice.
Chanyeol laughed at your horrorstricken face and continued to spin standing on the office chair.
“You are giving me a heart-attack, you giant doofus. Get off the chair,” you said as tried to stop the chair from spinning.
“Only if you go to the coffee shop with me. I’m craving a nice cold drink and I don’t want to go alone,” Chanyeol declared from above.
“You don’t have to spin on an office chair to convince me to get coffee with you. Just get down and I’ll go with you,” you said as you tried to calm down your heart. Chanyeol spinning while standing up on the chair caused your heart to race, which was nothing new since just looking Chanyeol alone would make your heart leap for joy.
Chanyeol’s smiling was beaming as he jumped off the chair. Miraculously he didn’t hurt himself and you sighed in relief.
“Come on, let’s go,” Chanyeol said. Without a second thought you followed him out the door. He wished that he could hold your hand and stare at you in wonder without any shame as you walked together to the coffee shop, but that would have to wait. One day he would tell you that he was in love with you, but he wasn’t sure if today would be that day.
“I dare you!” You heard Baekhyun loudly whisper to his potions partner, Chanyeol. You rolled your eyes and focused on reading the ingredients listed in your textbook. It was at least the sixth time that you were reading the recipe for this potion and each time you read through the instructions you were left feeling confused and uncertain.
“You know you’re supposed to brew the potion, right? Not just stare at the textbook,” Jongdae, a Hufflepuff in your year said as he walked to your table.
“I know that. I just wanted to make sure I get this right,” you replied as Jongdae dropped the ingredients onto the work table.
“Yeah, we don’t want a repeat of what happened last week. Or a repeat of last month. And the month before that, and the month before-” Jongdae said.
“I know!” You exclaimed. “I’m a hazard when it comes to brewing potions.” You looked down at the ingredients that Jongdae had brought and sighed. Although at times Jongdae got on your nerves, he was kind enough to want to work with you, the Slytherin who couldn’t brew a potion to save her life.
With Jongdae as your potion’s partner, the class went by smoothly and Professor Slughorn passed off the potion that you brewed with Jongdae. The same couldn’t be said of Chanyeol and Baekhyun, who managed to brew a strange concoction.
With class being over, you gathered your things and walked to your next class, Transfiguration.
“Hey, Y/N!” You turned around as you heard a voice call out your name. “Wait up!”
Chanyeol ran towards you, a look of urgency masking his face. You checked yourself to make sure you hadn’t forgotten anything in the potion’s classroom, since you had a habit of forgetting things.
“You forgot your quill,” Chanyeol said, out of breath, as he handed you the quill.
“Oh my gosh. Thanks, Chanyeol! I can’t believe I forgot it. That is my last quill,” you said. Chanyeol smiled at you and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.
“Well if you ever need to borrow a quill, you can borrow mine,” he said.
“Well, uh, thank you. That’s very kind of you to offer,” you replied. You and Chanyeol stood in the middle of the hallway, an awkward silence hanging in the air. You liked Chanyeol. Although he was goofy at times, he was also kind and he meant well.
“You and Jongdae seem to be getting along well,” Chanyeol awkwardly said. He shifted his weight from each of his legs, causing his body to sway. His statement took you by surprise for a moment and then you remembered complaining to Chanyeol a few years ago about how you didn’t care for Jongdae.
“I guess so. I mean, I don’t want to accidentally set his hair on fire by accidentally putting something in the potions we make,” you replied.
“Yeah I suppose it is. I mean, I am no better at potions than I was before he became my partner, which sucks because I want to get better at potions,” you babbled. “But it is what it is. Jongdae is alright, but I’m not gonna spend my spare time with him learning how to be better at potions.”
Chanyeol let out a breath that he didn’t know he was holding in. He liked you a lot, and he always wanted to find a way to get closer to you. This moment was his chance.
“If you want, I can help you with potions,” Chanyeol offered. He silently prayed that you would accept his offer.
“Really? I don’t want to be a bother.”
“You wouldn’t be a bother, Y/N. Potions is one of my favorite subjects and it’d be fun to teach you the right way to make a potion that would accidentally set Jongdae’s hair on fire.”
Chanyeol smiled as you laughed at his joke. As much as the idea of falling in love scared you, it made you feel alive and cared for when Chanyeol spoke “your language.” It made you feel a little less alone in the universe.
“That sounds like a great idea. Let’s do it!” You said. Chanyeol bounced on the balls of his feet.
‘PARK, Y/LN! Shouldn’t you be in class,” Professor McGonagall shouted from the end of the hall.
“Oh crap,” you both said at the same time. You quickly hugged Chanyeol, much to his surprise, and ran to your next class. Despite running through the hallways like a madwomen, you had never felt so alive.
Notes: This scenario was requested by @galaxygoddesss. I don’t typically take requests anymore, but she is a special case (along with @inky-starlight and @dodyo). Anywho, this scenario is a long time coming. Hope you enjoy it!
“Are you ready?” You heard Sehun shout from the other side of the bathroom door.
“I’m still finishing my makeup,” you replied. From the other side of the door you could hear Sehun huff. “It’s a blind date, Sehun. I need to look my best.”
Although you couldn’t see him, you were pretty sure that Sehun was rolling his eyes. “You always want to look your best.”
“I told you we didn’t have enough time to find that bubble tea shop you really like,” you said after finishing the last wing of your eyeliner.
“Well maybe YOU shouldn’t have spent so much time at the comic book store,” Sehun retorted. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes at Sehun’s immaturity.
“You were having a fun time at the comic book store too you loser, so don’t complain,” you said as you searched through your makeup bag for the right color of lipstick to match your look for the blind date that Sehun had set up for you.
“Are you done yet?” Sehun whined. “You’re taking too long. This guy you’re going out with is a complete loser. You don’t have to look this good for you him.”
You opened the door of the bathroom and glared at Sehun. “He better not be some creep that will insist that I ‘owe him a favor’ after the date.”
Sehun laughed and walked into your room. “Don’t worry he’s not that bad.”
“This is going to be the last time I let you set me up on a blind date,” you said before applying red lipstick.
“After this date, you won’t need anymore blind dates from me. The guy I set you up with is your type. He’s a big ass dork and a huge nerd. You’ll love him.”
Despite the banter between you and Sehun, you really hoped that he had set you up with a good guy. You couldn’t even remember the last time you had gone out on a good date. Most men never seemed to take you seriously and all they wanted to do was get physical with you. Sure making out was fun, but there’s more to dating then swapping spit.
With a final look in the mirror, you deemed yourself ready to go on this mysterious blind date. Although you had no idea who Sehun had set you up with, you did know that the date would consist of bowling and then going out to eat, which sounded pretty nice.
After braving the crips air you briskly walked into the bowling alley, your heart beating hard against your chest. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt this nervous. On the one hand, you chastised yourself for being nervous about going on a date with a stranger, but on the other hand you knew your nervousness was well warranted. Although you weren’t desperate to find a boyfriend, you didn’t want this date to disappoint. Tonight you wanted to enjoy yourself and you hoped that you would not end up playing “one-hundred-and-one ways to escape a miserable date.”
I’m here, you texted Sehun after entering the bowling alley. The lights were dim, with the sound of bowling pins being knocked down and one of the current top 10 hits playing through speakers.
Good! So is Chanyeol. He looks like this, Sehun replied with a picture of Chanyeol. The pictured showed a tall lanky man, wearing a red sweater and dark wash jeans. He had a bright, goofy smile on his face, his ears noticeably protruding from his black hair. All in all, you thought he was good looking and you hoped his looks matched his personality.
As you walked further into the bowling alley, you looked around for your blind date. At the eighth bowling lane, you noticed the back of what you were pretty sure was to be Chanyeol’s head. You slowly walked up to him, your heart beating wildly against your chest.
“Chanyeol?”
He quickly stood up from his seat and turned around to face you.
“Hi-i,” he stammered as he stuck his hand out for you to shake.
“Hi Chanyeol I’m Y/N, Sehun’s friend,” you said as you shook his hand.
“Hi Chanyeol I’m Y/N, Sehun’s friend,” he said in reply. He blinked when he heard himself speak. “Ummm. I mean I’m Chanyeol.” You smiled at his nervousness and felt relief wash over you. It was nice to know that you weren’t the only one that was nervous.
“Did you already get your shoes?” you asked as you put your bag down on a seat.
“Am I not wearing shoes?” Chanyeol asked with panic laced in his voice. His looked mirrored that of a deer caught in headlights and you both looked down at his feet to see him wearing a nice pair of sneakers.
“No, no. I meant bowling shoes,” you said with laughter. Chanyeol’s shoulders sagged in relief and he shook his head.
“Oh n-not yet,” he replied with a slight stutter.
As you stood in line with Chanyeol, you tried to get to know him better and found out that he was in band and liked to play guitar. His eyes lit up when you had told him that you enjoyed reading comic books and like superhero movies, which led him to nervously confess that he liked to cosplay as various superheroes from the Marvel universe.
After picking up an old, beat up, grey pair of bowling shoes, you and Chanyeol returned to your reserved bowling lane and looked at the selection of multicolored bowling balls. He ended up picking up a black bowling ball with sparkles and you chose a yellow bowling ball that was just the right weight for you.
Once the first few frames kicked, you realized that both you and Chanyeol were terrible at bowling. Chanyeol’s ball was constantly rolling through the gutter and your bowling ball would always near the pins and then at the last second dip into the gutter.
“It seems like these pins are on strike tonight,” Chanyeol said. You laughed at his horrible pun and Chanyeol felt his self-confidence skyrocket. The moment he had laid his eyes on you he found you to be so beautiful and he wasn’t sure that you’d end liking an awkward and dorky guy like himself, although Sehun had reassured him several times that he was your type. “Why should bowling alleys be quiet?”
“Why?”
“So you can hear a pin drop.” You leaned into Chanyeol as you laughed at his bowling pun. In the back of your mind you made sure to remind yourself to thank Sehun for setting you up with someone with such a good sense of humor.
The date with Chanyeol progressed with ease and you were both taken aback when the manager of the bowling alley had come to ask you both to leave since it was closing time. With heavy hearts, you both put your coats on and slowly made your way out of the alley, reluctant to let this date come to a close, since it was too late to go out to eat. As Chanyeol walked you to your car, you swore you could feel his fingertips reaching for your hand. Being the go-getter that you were, you reached for Chanyeol’s hand and looked up to see him trying, and failing, to suppress a smile on his face and when you reached your car, you could feel Chanyeol tense.
“I had lots of fun with you, Chanyeol,” you wistfully said.
“M-me t-too,” he said, his fingers still intertwined with yours. It was silent for a few moments, his brown eyes gazing into your eyes. His eyes were masked with longing and uncertainty. “I-I.”
You reached up to kiss Chanyeol, knowing very well that he was going to be too nervous to make a move. His lips gently pressed against your lips, with his hands holding on to your waist. The kiss was awkward, just like him, but you didn’t mind it one bit. With your back pressed against the driver’s side of your car, Chanyeol’s body close to yours, you set out to make sure this wouldn’t be the last time that you see Chanyeol.
It was 8 years ago.I was sitting on a bench at a park.
Suddenly I saw something.I was really surprised. It was a photo...
The photo was of a boy.I didn't know how,I didn't know when but as I grew older,I think I fell in love with that boy.Yes,It was just his photo that made me fall for him....
I kept his photo in my treausre box where I used to keep all the precious memorable things of my lil world. I used to look at his photo everyday, every night before I went to sleep and used to think if I will ever meet him or not.I wished for so.
I was a child when I got his photo.I didn't know the longing I had for him was love until my friend told me about it.I mean,I didn't even think about him in that way before. But when we got in high school, most of my friends were already "love experts " or at least I believe they were. XD
When one day my friend Mary asked about his photo on my wallet,I told her everything.
"Heyyy!!Lil girl has fallen in love!!" She teased me.
But it was true...Yes,I had fallen for him.I had fallen for the person who I hadn't even met.I knew, the feeling won't be changed if I see him one day too. When my college days were coming soon,I wished for a miracle. A miracle which will let me meet him.
Even though it was a photo of his,it was so clear that his eyes were wide & bright.smile was angelic.Everyday I wished to see him even though I knew I won't. Years passed.I gradually got in College.
yes,he was my first love.
