oh man, thanks for the lovely comment!! Chase and Omi are such amazing characters together, and they have a surprisingly active fandom still. Not so much the shipping but at least for the characters. GrasshopperDoingDogpaddle on Ao3 is a treasure trove of incredible Chase & Omi centric oneshots, if youre looking for lots of good stuff~!

Not sure if you've read any platonic Chaseomi fic, but I agree with some along with canon wise. Omi & Chase are very similar to each in terms of their honourable personality, both crave for power (Good!Chase wanted to be the greatest warrior, Heylin!Omi crave for more fights), both kind of belittle their comrades and view themselves superior. And in Time after Time, Omi would've gotten along very well with Chase if he didn't turn Heylin. Both can provide each other of what they want, I guess?

I have not read any of those fics, no. I tend to prefer general adventure without a shipping overtone. Subtle shipping is cool but I’m here for the adventure and ass kicking.

These are a few of the similarities I have noticed. It was one of the reasons I strongly believed Chase had been the Dragon of Water before he went Heylin. That was up until I saw a few very powerful arguments for other elements. The fics I have read were mainly continuations of XS and each had a common idea for Omi after the Time After Time arc. His desire to see the good in Chase increased as did his connection to the Heylin lord. Omi developed a difficulty to distinguish one timeline from the other, which created a desire to be friends with Chase. That desire was already there but now it was stronger. This was something else I would of liked XC to explore.

Them both providing the other with what they need is an interesting thought. Would that be Good Chase being a mentor and brotherly/fatherly figure to Omi? Or Omi giving Good Chase something to protect or someone to look up to him?

I must admit Chase’s thoughts and motivations are harder for me to grasp on both sides of the alignment spectrum. It’s probably because I don’t think about him a lot.

forget menchies. once you had yogurt breeze, menchies is just dog poop.

had an okay day, it was good but i'm still out of it. mcquillan told me to tell carlos she misses him and hiram in class surprisingly. he thought i was lying because she told us that we're lazy together. it shocked me to hear her say that she missed him, hiram, and all the poop jokes we made last year. good times.

now I'm just eating and watching Bob's Burgers on netflix while i wait for a new episode of tvd and while I paint/draw or do something artistic with my life.
