@chaoticvertue - the plotted stuff we’ve been discussing for awhile now.
it was dark by the time she got harleen and herself back to her apartment. her gun was holstered to her hip but she didn’t touch on it. she never wound when she had harleen with her. she didn’t want to put a hand on her, she had tried when she got in the car but she had seen harleen flinch when she did place her hand on her. she hadn’t slept in months trying to find harleen. everyone had given up on her but not maria. she needed to find her. and if shield wasn’t going to help her, then she went behind fury’s back. she went behind all of their backs to try and find her. now that she had her here, she wasn’t letting out of her sight. it was a small apartment, nothing fancy a kitchen that offset the living room. a hallway that had two bedrooms in case she had someone staying over which was unlikely at times. and a bathroom. she flicked on the light once they made it up the stairs to her apartment. she placed her keys on the table on the right side of the door, and then moved to shrug her jacket off. “would you like something to drink, or eat? maybe a bath to sooth your nerves?” she knew her friend was still in there, and maria was going to do whatever it took to get her friend back to her. even if she had to find the man that did this to her and kill him. though that was going to be something she was going to do regardless. “i want you to know, you’re safe here.”
