My two current WIP fics.
Safe Haven is currently up on AO3 as a WIP with one chapter out. It is following Wen Chao and Xue Yang in a modern AU. I’m hoping to really capture the concept of found family. I also realized after publishing that this is the 2nd fic I’ve posted where a character lost an arm at the start (the other being a NieYao fic - In Case of Emergency, Break to Open). I think this one will be much messier than the other in that Wen Chao isn’t someone I write as being as stubborn as Mingjue and Xue Yang isn’t as “docile” as Meng Yao. So it’ll be a fun adventure. (Also I’ll need to reread that NieYao fic because I could’ve sworn it was finished?)
For Influence, it’s a Xue Yang and Wen Xu modern AU fic (someone requested I write the ship, and I like starting with modern AUs for new ships so I can really play with the dynamic out if canon constraints). I haven’t posted it yet, as I’m still playing around with idea for the fic. As of right now, the basic idea is slightly influenced by a manga I read where a character decides to “fake date” another as a form of revenge (but they do get a happy ending). It’s a very ambitious concept for me (I’ve been trying to remember the word ambitious all weekend and now I finally remember!) but I hope it’s everything the fan of the ship was hoping for!
