Chapelli’s Restaurant
Chapelli’s restaurant can be found on 571 Chapel Street, South Yarra. Chapelli’s can only be called a chapel street institution. Expect to see a wide variety of characters walk into this Italian restaurant/café as it is open 24 hours.
The restaurant is located in the busier side of Chapel Street right next to Toorak road. Chapelli’s is a no fuss casual restaurant offering daily breakfast from 6am to a generous 4pm and full service 24 hours. Breakfast offers the usual omelets, big breakfasts and pancakes. Chapelli stick’s to conventional westernized Italian meals for their mains and appetizers. Mains include steaks or chicken, a huge variety of pasta dishes and traditional pizzas.
The chef special on the day that I ate at Chapelli’s was fettuccine and a whole crayfish. As I was there for a special occasion I treated myself to the $70 dish but otherwise I would not ever order something so expensive.
The restaurant has a very casual relaxed atmosphere, there is not one particular demographic that eats at Chapelli’s due to the fact it is open 24 hours a day. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating to all customers.
Chapelli’s doesn't try to be something its not, it is there to offer a means to an end. Saying this though I would not recommend Chappelli’s for any occasion other then a casual no fuss meal. 2.5/5
