This sight took my breath away last night. Just walking along the road, amazed at how many people are shopping in 5C and so early in the year and thinking I’ve seen Porto all before, then bam, this majestic structure reminded me how important it is to stay curious. • Approximately 11,000 azulejo (tiles) cover the façade of this chapel. • The tiles depict scenes from the life of Saint Ildefonso and figurative imagery from the Gospels and were placed on this “Chapel of the Souls” in November 1932. • A mass is held in the church daily. • #chapelofthesouls #staycurious #churchofthesouls #porto #tmtraveltips #tmtraveltipsportugal #churches #tiledchurch #tilesonthechurchwalls #azulejos #azulejoschurch (at Rua Santa Catarina)
