Freeman looks over at the next tram’s occupant: It’s G-Man. G-Man awkwardly backs away, but he glares right back at Gordon.
The two share an intense and uncomfortable eye contact.
In the background, Vortigordaunt peers at both of them from the tram station at an elevated level. He is almost invisible, blending in with the dim lighting of the area. End ID.]

It is set at the very beginning of Freeman’s journey, in Black Mesa Level 3 Dormitories tram station. Another tram with its lights out is approaching next to Freeman’s ride.
The radio intercom in the functioning tram starts up with the following:
“Good morning and welcome to the Black Mesa transit system. This automated train is provided for the security and convenience of the Black Mesa Research Facility Personnel.”

A Freeman starts to wake up from stasis. He has long, purple, spiky hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a Mark 4 HEV suit, and his right arm is coated in bright green energy. He is curled in slightly on himself, guarding his arm. Light and shadows obscure his eyes and reflect off his glasses, hiding most of his expression.
He looks up and turns to his right to see others like him in a similar position. They are suspended mid-air in a dark void, bits of green energy glowing on what appears to be their injuries. One of them has a shorter ponytail and wears a Mark 4 HEV. The other Freeman is closer- he has short spiky hair, no ponytail and is wearing a Mark 5 HEV. End ID.]

You’re not supposed to be awake yet.

Freeman looks winded from the experience. The green glow eventually dies down, still gripping his arm and breathing heavily.
He senses a presence in front of him and he struggles to look up at them. Before he can see who it is, he receives a lightning-like shock, rendering him unconscious. Freeman is vaguely aware of a hand heading toward his left shoulder before he passes out.
The lambda symbol on his HEV suit changes briefly to a stylized ‘AI’ and then an off-power button. The panels fade to black once more. End ID.]

Freeman pushes his glasses up, rubs at his face groggily and yawns. He decides to stand up for the tram ride, one hand on the pole and the other hand in his lab coat pocket. Behind him in the window is yet another warped reflection of himself- he is unaware of this and looks deadpan as his morning routine and transport starts up. End ID.]
