Okay I haven't seen a good translation yet but I've seen enough to get the gist I think.

I think we're still calling Griffith Guts' other half lol, so that's nice. Some very direct parallels to Griffith's transformation into Femto, so I'm hoping even harder that this is where Guts goes full Beast of Darkness, understanding and embracing his inner monster and all that. Mildly nervous that this is going to be some kind of metaphysical Good Guy Enlightenment instead lol, but only mildly.

Interesting to see Guts blaming himself for the Eclipse and wishing he'd never met the Hawks even while he's wishing to return to the Golden Age. Now I've got another canon divergence AU idea: Guts never meets the Hawks, he first meets Griffith when Griffith is ruling Midland and Guts is a terrifying badass legendary mercenary or something.

And it was cool to see all those glimpses of the past, as it always is when this happens lol. I was like :O at that one panel of Shizu. I am not particularly invested in like, details of Berserk's spiritual worldbuilding, so I have no thoughts on this new astral plane goddess chick. Deus Ex Machina vibes.

So yeah I think as far as I can tell what's going on in this chapter with an iffy translation, it doesn't not align with my hopes and dreams for the story, but we'll see how it shakes out.

And yeah, those are my thoughts, thank you both for your interest! Can't wait to see the next two chapters, hopefully we'll get through this sequence this summer.
