I adore your fic! And while angst is nice to develop characters and experiment on how they react, in the end, I want a happy ending! For all that suffering to mean something, in the end, you know?

Aww thank you for the kind words, Anon! You're so sweet. ;__; And yes same, I'm okay with angst for character development and such as long as there's a happy ending. Just like, no endless angst, that's not for me. Writing endless angst with a bad ending on top would just make me extremely unhappy, I literally would not be able to write that, it would burn me out in nothing flat.

I'm so happy to hear that others are enjoying the fic as well! I'm having fun writing it, despite the difficulties that have been happening recently.

I really appreciate the idea of Ingo being the one that ended landing himself in Hisui by messing around with time. I'm curious about what happened, was it the multi line that was derailed? The doubles? One meant only for public transport without any battles? Were they together as it happened, or was Emmet manning the train on his own?

I would love to see more from this AU, thank you so much for your work!

And yeah I thought it would be an interesting twist if him ending up in Hisui was at least partially his fault. Like he messed with something and that synchronized with the rifts in Hisui. Also thinking that a certain someone took advantage of Ingo's feelings of guilt and desperation in order to manipulate him by giving him just enough knowledge to meddle, but not enough for him to succeed in what he actually wanted to do.

Only the Doubles line was running battles at the time, so Emmet was on that train while Ingo was in the control center. Emmet had just won the final battle against the challenger when the derailment happened. In a split-second decision he sent his one unfainted Pokemon to protect the challenger, leaving himself unprotected. Ingo was one of the first to arrive on the scene of the derailment after the emergency alarms went off, and once Ingo found Emmet pinned, bleeding, and unconscious inside the wreckage... It broke him. He absolutely has PTSD from that.

As for there being more, I have a lot of Thoughts about what I could do with it already. I’m working on a next segment now(reunion with Elesa and his and the twins’ Pokemon teams since hospital visiting hours won’t be open again until the next day), and will probably post that first bit as the first chapter of a fic on Ao3 after a few edits to clean up clunky prose. Honestly I’m kinda surprised that so many people liked what I wrote so far, but I’m glad it’s making people happy!

Aww man I'm excited to see where chapter 4 is going !!

Aaa I'm glad! I'm getting close to the ending for it and then I'll start editing, so hopefully I'll be able to do a full update by the end of this week or early next week!

Oh my, I finally managed to read the newest chapter after a long (but not stressful) day

What can I say except it's the best way to end my day? I'm so glad things look a bit brighter now, Ingo still beating himself up but he has more support now. I'm happy for him.

And once again I could gush all day over the fact how wonderful you write about those simple things in between and also adding details that definitely would be part of the Pokemon world. Like the Pokemon in Restaurants getting a treat too the Pokemon being part of the Conversations and be overall part of the overall story. Once again many stories sideline them often which is so sad. I love your writing style for that.

Chauntal and Caitlin are also part of the story now. NICE. I really love how you managed to weave them so naturally into the story with Chauntals Investigations and Caitlin realizing psychic abilities! I'm looking forward to see how they're contribute to the overall story! And their Pokemon are darlings as well! So cute!

He went to the bed and again laid a gentle hand on Emmet’s forehead. “We’re heading out for the night, Emmet. We’ll see you in the morning, love you.” It was a small ritual in their family, to say ‘I love you’ at every parting and every goodnight. Like a small prayer, asking for the safety of the beloved family member. They certainly needed it now. - I teared up at that, this is so strong. This is so... I don't have the right words in english for that (and even in my mother tongue I don't know how to express myself; but its so SO GOOD) this is the kind of family dynamic I really LOVE. It hits right in the feels.

Ingo reached out to Rosa as well... Curious what she'll bring into the story. I'll definitely stay tuned!

Another day has ended in this AU, a lot has happened, help for Emmet is on the way as well? Still not entirely sure what to think about Dr. Korten but once she shows up I'll keep it neutral. I just hope the twins can properly reunite soon, with hugs and tears and all the emotions.

ANYWAY I already wrote way too much in here. I'll stop for now. But I let you know that I also enjoyed details and parts I haven't mentioned in here (If I gush about them I bet they would be as long as your chapter themselves) ^^"

I'm so glad I was able to get enough of the Pokemon in there by the end, I was actually trying to add even more as I went through the editing phase, but there was no natural way to fit that into the flow of the conversations. :< I'd even wanted Bo to come out of the kitchen and see how everyone was liking their food, but the chapter was just feeling too long already. Hopefully I can work him in if the crew go back to his restaurant, he's just a fun little bit of worldbuilding and interaction I'd like to add.

Funny enough I initially added Shauntal and Caitlin on a whim and they ended up providing some much-needed emotional breathing room and clues to help Ingo. Also just, I really enjoyed writing for them and I'm more invested in their characters now lol. That tends to happen with me. I'm kinda blah toward a character but then as soon as I write them I'm like "aw hell yeah I love them look at them go!"

Aaaaa I'm so glad that part landed right! 😭 In a way I was putting to words why I always say "love you" to my family when we say goodbye and it's something I really wanted to add to Ingo and Emmet's relationship.

Dr. Korten will be bringing some interesting(and helpful!) things to the table, just you wait and see. >:3c Can't wait to introduce Esme too, she's a verrry special girl.
