hi! not sure if you’ve answered this before, but do K’s moms think they ‘died’ too, or was that only told to people working at Mi6? ty!! ❤️

Hello! 🤍 K’s mums were told that K is MIA rather than KIA, because no one (except those who do) actually knows what happened to them. Were they killed? Abducted? Attacked and left for dead? No one’s sure.

However what definitely isn’t said to K’s mums is that K’s been disavowed and left for dead. Instead, they assure them that they’re doing everything they can to find their child.

MC will know this and have the chance to express whether they’re disgusted or understanding of this decision.

On another note, K’s mums know that K works for MI6, but they have no idea what K actually does. So this is completely out of the left field for them. Well not completely I suppose, they dealt with this once before when K was in the Marines.

Not sure if this has been asked but what do K's moms think about MC? Could be in any stage (crushing, relationship etc.) Im just thirsty for more Darla and Ringo content 🙏

At this point, K’s mums have never met mc so Ringo hasn’t formed a full opinion yet, whereas Darla totally adores you based on what K has told her (because anyone her baby likes, she’ll like).

Despite Ringo, not having a full opinion formed, she’s aware of how much K respects you and therefore trusts that when she meets you, she will like you (but you can never be too careful, she is prepared to attack you with a frying pan).

On the platonic route, they’re both happy that their baby has found a best friend like you. On the romance route, K is embarrassed(tm) because their mums are the self-proclaimed presidents of the K/MC fan club. They never push K to confess or anything because they respect them too much, but they do like to do things like casually drop in conversation that “so and so would be great for a destination wedding…do you think mc would like a destination wedding?” And then watch as K gets completely flustered trying (and failing) not to think about it. Ringo gets t-shirts made up (1000% tries to wear it the first time they meet mc, but Darla says no….so instead she introduces herself as K’s other mum and co-President of the K/MC fan club - K just about combusts on the spot).

In terms of the cursed poly….Darla would be slightly wary of Noah at first due to…well everything, but Ringo would absolutely adore them straight off the bat (“you tried to take over the world and now you’re dating two of Mi6’s top operatives? Kid I like your style.”). Darla would eventually come around once she sees how much Noah loves K and mc though.

If mc called them mum, they’d be utterly thrilled. Darla would honestly just gush for a good 10 minutes about how she has two babies to take care of now, while Ringo gives you a slightly feral grin and welcomes you into the family with an almost bone-crushing hug. You’ll end up getting invited to spend time at theirs on your holidays, even when K isn’t around (usually when K’s on their way home and therefore will meet you there, or on a small mission where another handler can deal with it).

K: when they were little, they and their mums would do everything together, K wasn’t a big fan of people (and still isn’t tbh lol) and preferred to go on long walks as a family, or learn their mums skills and hobbies (ex. crocheting or painting from Darla (which they were terrible at) and fixing up cars, bikes, and other machinery from Ringo (which they excelled in)). Now, they’re still very appreciative of everything that their mums do, and try to spend as much time with them as they can (K knows how fragile life is, they couldn’t bear becoming distant from the only real family they’ve ever had).

A: when they were little, A was very close to their mother and would often spend their evenings reading books or doing homework etc…curled up next to Isioma as she worked on her novels. Now, things are more difficult unfortunately, with their job, they felt that they had to distance themself from their family for their protection, this was especially hard on Isioma who misses her eldest child, but A hopes to reconcile with her and their dad and sibling when this mission is over.

Reese: when they were little, they were closer to their dad than their mum, but they still shared a good relationship, with Julia often singing to them or making up dramatic stories to tell Reese and their siblings before bed, however, due to Reese’s anger issues, things could be difficult between them at times. Now, they’ve got so much more appreciation for everything that Julia did for them, and make a special effort for every birthday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas (and just in general) to make sure she knows how loved she is.

Luisa: it was terrible when they were little, and it’s even worse now. Luisa avoids her mother at all costs.

Cody: when they were little, their relationship with their mother was very volatile. Now it’s cold and distant, they don’t speak.

Noah: when Noah was little, Riley was their whole world, they had very little in terms of money and yet Riley did everything she could to make sure Noah felt loved and safe, her hugs were (and still are) the best cure for anything. Now, their relationship is still very good, Riley and Noah support each other in everything (although Riley doesn’t know the extent of what she’s supporting), Noah wants to create a new business? Riley will do whatever she can to help. Riley wants to earn a degree, but is worried about the costs? Noah is willing to pay for it (she might not like that so much, but Noah is persuasive).

So it’s Mother’s Day in the UK, so Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mums out there! 🤍 (I know a few IF authors who are mothers/parents and you guys are amazing)

Was also thinking it might be fun to appreciate the (good) mothers of nova, so if you guys want to send in anything about:
