Hogwarts Class of ‘78: ROAD TRIP AU

- james, sirius, remus, peter, marlene, lily, alice and frank go on a road trip at the end of their final year

- james and frank do the majority of the driving, leaving lily and sirius in charge of the music

- james thought lily might help to control sirius’s wild music taste but he ends up regretting that decision because she just encourages him

- the entire trip is a mixture of obnoxiously loud one direction, 70’s music and weird indie music that no one else has heard of

- not to mention the time sirius played bohemian rhapsody on repeat for three hours

- he played hungry like the wolf once to see remus’s reaction

- remus slapped him on the head (but secretly found it endearing)

- james can’t hold a tune to save his life but is the one who sings the loudest

- marlene finds it annoying but it makes lily laugh so she doesn’t say anything

- peter is the friend that turns out to be an amazing singer to everyone’s complete surprise

- him and alice make cool harmonies

- by day 2 everyone looks completely dead inside

- except marlene who somehow has flawless makeup the entire time

- sirius spends half the time shirtless

- everyone keeps telling him to put a shirt on but remus isn’t complaining

- when it gets cold he ends up stealing remus’s jumpers

- even though they’re way too big for him

- he and alice also constantly wear flower crowns

- remus always has a camera in his hands

- he doesn’t really like being in photos himself but takes lots of candids and group shots of everyone else

- at some point they go to a muggle fun fair

- remus, lily and frank are the only ones who’ve ever been to a muggle fair before

- sirius is so excited remus has to hold his hand to stop him bouncing

- frank wins a giant teddy for alice and it’s incredibly impractical but also the best thing she’s ever been given

- james and lily ride the ferris wheel together and kiss at the top while looking at the sunset

- sirius is in the carriage behind shouting at them

- remus is frantically shushing him

- marlene has the most fun out of them all by just sitting and watching all the people

- everyone looks so happy and it’s the most beautiful things she’s ever seen

- but of course the highlight of the trip was the BEACH

- remus is super self conscious when he takes off his shirt but sirius thinks he’s beautiful

- peter spends all day reading in the shallows

- james and sirius swim and splash each other while remus watches with a fond smile on his face

- lily marlene and alice have handstand competitions on the sand, judged by frank

- of course they have a beach volleyball tournament

- james sirius and remus vs marlene lily and alice

- when it gets cooler they build a fire on the beach and toast marshmallows

- on their last night they fall asleep on the sand

- remus is the last one awake

- he’s happy and comfortable, surrounded by his favourite people on the planet, and he wouldn’t change a thing

Phone aesthetics: Sirius Black✨

Sirius’s phone is full of pictures that mean a lot to him, such as Remus and James. His lockscreen is a picture of Remus that he took when the other boy wasn’t looking and the peacefulness of it makes him happy and reminds him of the good things in his life. He has no pictures of his family, only his friends, as he is scared that they will be taken away from him and has to remind himself every day that they will always be there for him, no matter what.

Phone aesthetic: Remus Lupin✨

Remus prefers to watch from the edge, and so his phone is full of both posed and candid pictures of his friends, reflecting some of his best memories. His lock screen is a picture of Sirius and James in a muggle supermarket car park after a little too much to drink. Unlike Peter, who prefers scenery shots, Remus only takes pictures of his friends, the things that mean the most to him.
