I think Harry would feel really fuckin stupid calling anybody a pet name. Like, he has no living memory of being called one himself, and the main exposure he had to it growing up was with the Dursleys (whom he both actively dislikes and also thinks sound ridiculous) and whatever snippets of romance he caught on the television. Like to him I think pet names just aren't real words lol.

Anyway all that to say thinking about a fully adult Harry slowly warming up to calling his partner 'love' or some other mildly understated pet name gives me the warm fuzzies because he has a lot of shit to overcome to do it <3

How many of Harry's injuries had scars that stuck, do we know? Here's what I've got.

I'm pretty damn sure he has these:

The killing curse scar on forehead (shape of a lightning bolt, small enough to hide fairly well with bangs but not completely if people are looking for it)

Surely has scattered, random, leftover scars from childhood because none of his injuries as a child were healed with magic

The blood quill scars on right hand (reads "I must not tell lies" in Harry's handwriting)

Nagini's bite marks to the forearm on what I belieeeeve is his right arm because it causes him to drop his wand, and they only get half-healed with dittany so they otherwise are big ole deep punctures that get left to heal on their own

The locket scar directly over heart (oval shape, described a bit weird in the text but I think Hermione's severing charm took Harry's skin off with the locket and that's what left the scar? she says she had to use a severing charm to get it off, so I'd assume that's what it is, except it also says it's "where the locket had burned him" (DH 346) so like?? but I'm pretty sure it's the severing charm and the locket had burned him as in kinda melted into his skin)

Major injuries I definitely don't think gave him scars:

Anything that got healed with phoenix tears, including the basilisk wound in his arm in CoS and the acromantula wound in his ankle in GoF

Quidditch injuries, including the de-boned arm in CoS (no puncture) and the cracked skull in HBP (seems like Madam Pomfrey was able to just fix him right up)

Grey areas:

Wormtail's knife wound in the crook of his right arm. WHAT IS WITH EVERYBODY INJURING MY POOR BOY'S RIGHT ARM GODDAMNIT GO FOR THE LEFT FOR A CHANGE. HE USES THE RIGHT ONE. POOR BABY. Anyway we never see Madam Pomfrey fix it, although she could easily have done it while Harry was asleep, and we never hear about that wound again so in all honesty it probably was healed without a scar, but it also plausibly could not have been. I've seen people mention it and I can't blame em. For a second the area was gray enough and I saw it mentioned in fics so much that it had me convinced the scar had references in the text or something lol. But alas. None. 💔

A second killing curse scar. I've seen nobody else mention this anywhere ever but I believe in it with my heart and soul because if it gave him a scar once it could give him a scar twice and Harry says that his chest actively hurts/aches when he re-enters the world so it clearly didn't do NOTHING... I wish it had been better explained why Harry had received a scar versus the people actually killed by the killing curse didn't (wouldn't it be cool if every person killed by it got the same wound but Harry was the only one with the scar because his body survived to heal it? I don't think that's what JKR intended bc the Riddles supposedly had no weird marks on their bodies but hey she never said the muggles were RIGHT she just said they were BAFFLED - memory charms exist in this universe ok let me have my fun) but anyway if it wasn't the process of the horcrux's creation, which it doesn't seem to have been, then I can't really find a difference between the first time Harry got hit and the second apart from perhaps consent regardless IM CALLING IT HE HAS TWO LIGHTNING BOLT SCARS AND MY EVIDENCE IS WHIMSY.

What the Neville I roleplay as would do for his friends

Ginny:

Neville would definitely listen to Ginny when she told him she wanted to be on the quidditch team and probably bought her a broom for it. He then started showing her many plants that she'd be able to see from high up, he told her "if I ever die and you see a plant you can recognise when playing, that's me cheering you on." She always looked for plants she could recognise but many had litter in them. She took it as a cheer nonetheless

Ron:

Neville heard Ron was going for keeper and had confidence issues so he made a huge as fuck banner saying "if you fail this you have to kiss me" and that got Ron to lock in and got Neville in trouble but he didn't care. Neville then got Ron a huge bag of his favourite treats and stuff he seemed interested in, including his own firebolt. Neville told him: "if I die and you see a red flower on a walk that's me telling you to push on and do good" he remembered when he saw a wilted red rose bouquet on the floor of someone's doorstep, he cried but pushed on like Neville told him too

Harry:

Neville always bought bouquets and treats for harry half because he thought acting love Dovey towards him was funny (until it was actual love) and half because he didn't know what harry liked, harry was always dragged into the things he liked. Until he found something, harry had an interest in old things that were James. So Neville gave him a box of his father's old stuff and let harry dog through and take what he wanted. Neville told him "if I die and you see a lily of the valley. That not me, that's your mother telling you she's proud of you. If you see a daisy that's me telling you that you did good." he remembered it when he saw a daisy on a footpath, squashed but still a daisy nonetheless.

Hermione:

Hermione always had an interest in books so Neville always got her books and books for Christmas until he realised that she would probably rather old books, so he brought her to the Longbottom's library, she was there for about 3 weeks. Then Neville started giving her flowers of many different colours waiting for the one she liked the most. Hermione told him "you don't need to give me stuff" in which Neville responded "if I die and you see a field of allium, that's because I don't regret what I gave to my friend's and family, they deserved it" she saw a field of allium one day and remembered it. But the field was burnt. The only thing she wished for was Neville's signs to be undisturbed by the cruelty of the world.

Seamus:

During pride month Neville held a huge party for Seamus and after a while of Seamus saying sod off prick he gradually accepted it when he realised long after Neville did. Neville gave Seamus many things that he thought Seamus would like, graphic tees, marvel comics, mugs with his favourite Marvel characters. Seamus was always happy when Neville found another thing and bought it for him. He told Seamus "if I die and you ever see a poinsettia that's me. Telling you that something good will happen the next day and I'm proud of you." Seamus saw one at his lowest and he stared at it for five minutes angry Neville had showed up angry he had died, the plant wasn't perfect, it was just good enough to get the point across. Keep pushing on

Dean:

Neville always got Dean muggle stuff he found, sometimes it's incredibly expensive stuff and Dean just questions how he got it, but on the Usual he gives DC stuff because he knows Dean likes it like how Seamus likes marvel. Graphic tees comics, mugs. Dean was always very happy for them. Neville told Dean "if I died and you saw a poisonous plant, it's me telling you to spread love". When Dean saw a poisonous plant. He stared at it for ten minutes then gave a girl 50 pounds.

Luna:

Neville always looked out for her, telling people to piss off. He gave money to her to find the quibbler he have her so many cardigans and skirts. He hugged her randomly because he never knew what she was thinking whether she was sad or upset so he just hugged her on occasion and told her she'll be okay. He told her. "If you ever see a dandelion that's me telling you it's okay to be yourself, wish on me and I'll try my best to make it happen." When Luna saw a dandelion it was dead. She sat down in front of it and just.. cried.

Colin:

Neville gave Colin many cameras and helped him enchant them he always told Colin that it was going to be okay, he gave Colin pictures of his parents, old pictures of his gran and answered all his questions about the wizarding world. He told Colin "if I died and you saw a wonderful view made up of trees and shrubs, that's me telling you to take a picture and look on it years later" what he didn't know what that Colin was gonna die before him.

Tom Riddle Headcanons

summary: Tom Riddle as your boyfriend / love interest

Tom isn't the kind of person who falls in love overnight, so by the time the two of you actually start dating he's already spent months quietly observing you from afar, memorizing your routines, noticing the books you always reach for first in the library, the way you absentmindedly chew on the inside of your cheek whenever you're concentrating and even which staircases you prefer because they're less crowded.

Being with Tom means constantly feeling seen in ways that are both incredibly comforting and slightly unnerving, because he'll notice things about you that you didn't even realize had become habits yourself, like the fact you always rub your wrists when you're anxious, that you skip breakfast whenever you're overwhelmed with schoolwork or that your smile never quite reaches your eyes when you're pretending everything is fine and although he'll rarely point these things out directly, you'll somehow find your favorite tea waiting for you after a stressful day or an extra plate appearing beside your books before you even realize you're hungry.

Tom isn't naturally affectionate in the traditional sense, so don't expect constant hand-holding or spontaneous hugs in the middle of crowded corridors, but instead you'll become accustomed to his quiet, purposeful touches like him brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear because it's blocking your view while you're reading, adjusting your robes before you leave the common room because they're sitting unevenly or resting his hand against the small of your back for only a second as he guides you through a crowd, each gesture so brief and matter-of-fact that someone watching might miss it entirely despite the fact they mean more than grand romantic displays ever could.

He remembers absolutely everything you tell him, even the smallest and most insignificant details you mention in passing, so if you casually complain one evening that your favorite quill is beginning to splinter, don't be surprised when a beautifully crafted replacement mysteriously appears on your bedside table a week later, or if you once admitted you've always wanted to read a particularly rare magical text, because months later he'll quietly place that exact book in front of you without acknowledging the amount of time or effort it must have taken him to find it.

Arguments with Tom are almost more frustrating because he never raises his voice, instead allowing you to say absolutely everything you're feeling while maintaining unnervingly steady eye contact before dismantling each of your points with calm, carefully chosen logic until you're no longer sure whether you were right to begin with, leaving you walking away feeling less like you'd had a fight with your boyfriend and more like you'd unknowingly participated in one of Professor Slughorn's academic debates.

Oooh interesting question...

She works out a LOT. Even after she left professional quidditch, and even in her 40s and 50s she makes sure to get some exercise done. (Whereas Harry just lies down on the sofa whenever he gets a chance XD)

She was also very insecure of her body, especially when she entered into spotlight of being pro quidditch player, and Harry Potter's partner. And after having children she thought she was not attractive anymore.

Bullying (affectionately) is her love language and you can't convince me otherwise. If she tease you about your mannerism or your quirks — congratulations! the queen is fond of you.

But do the same to her and you won't be able to hear the end of it.

She doesn't like to cook everyday. I mean she can, if she's in the mood or if she HAS to but not voluntarily everyday.

She picked up knitting when Ted's kids were born because that's what "Grandmas do!" but she's very, very bad at it. but they, especially Harry, wear her knitted garments proudly.

She has a bad temper, and the BIGGEST heart. So she sometimes thinks from her heart more than her brains.

Very opinionated, and does not back down.

FEMINIST!!!!! and a Girl's girl, through and through.

Though she personally has very few girlfriends.

Would kick your misogynist arse and mansplaining.

Biggest mama bear. Hurt her cubs and she will hurt you 10x more.

Raised her sons to be feminist too.

Biggest cheerleader. Whenever someone feels down or doubts themselves she can boost them up in seconds.

Has a very warm and positive energy. The room instantly brightens up as she enters.

A perfect partner for someone like Harry. Knows when to push and when to not. Understands that her husband keeps secrets and stuff he doesn't talk about to her, for her own good. So is not very tantrum-ish about that.

Loves caressing Harry's hair whenever he's in her proximity.

Get a room? what room? she will snog harry infront of everyone.

Loves to take long baths, which are almost impossible because someone always interrupts her.

Took the Potter name after getting married.

Loves gardening.

Loves buying expensive, aesthetic decor for her home.

Bribes the kids to not tell Harry.

Harry never notices the new ornaments, but when does, ginny gaslights him into thinking it was always there.

Harry eventually cotton on but plays along.

Though she gets a very bad sunburn because she's very pale.
