Styg ask: Everyone's opinions on puns? And what's their favorite one?

Treble: will laugh at puns, but won't voluntarily make them; their fav: Don’t let your kids watch symphonies on TV. There’s too much sax and violins. 

Damian: "hates" pun, gl catching him laughing at them, but the dad humor slips out when he's tipsy; his fav: Howl ever live without you?

Marci: purely neutral about them, Dante had a pun phase growing up so she knows plenty; her fav: Old musicians never die, they decompose.

Eden: love puns but their favorite are marine biology related^^ their fav: Why do seagulls fly over the sea? Because if they flew over the bay they would be called bagels!

Beacon: doesn’t know what they are! or used to, even still, they don’t quite “get” them, their “fav”: What lies at the bottom of the ocean and twitches? A nervous wreck.

Tulips and Gardenias for Beacon and Treble~

tulip :   how does your muse view people in general ?

Beacon is neutral about human beings. They don’t approve of other Eldritch beings getting involved in their lives, whether that’s feeding on them or merging with their consciousness to cheat death. But that said, they don’t have any particular qualms about any human deaths that might occur if they escape the Society’s lighthouse or so they say...

Treble loves people, in contrast lol. They love meeting new people and are a generally sociable person. 

gardenia :   is your muse one to confess romantic feelings early on ,   or to conceal them for long periods of time ?

Beacon has never fallen in love, but if they did I imagine they’d be tight-lipped or as tight-lipped as an entity without lips can be. 

Treble has loved and lost as much as any outgoing person in their late twenties. They know their way around feelings like love and attraction. That said, they’re a bit guarded with their feelings. It’ll take them time to decide if they trust someone new with their heart. But once they do, they’re all in.

You know? I’ve never really found a game where all the ROs were instantly interesting to me, especially before demos are out, but after reading the intro for Styg, I’m totally in love with everyone already! I absolutely cannot wait to see more! The concept is fantastic and super intriguing! Any extra facts you can share about the ROs??

Treble: comes from a musical family(both their dads play professionally and conduct together) and they can play a fair number of instruments, clarinet, trumpet, French horn, several percussion instruments, in their younger days, they played the drums in Marci’s band

Damian: is hard of hearing. During a job, he got injured and now can’t really hear on his left side even with an aid. It’s partly why he adopted, Bucket, an old former police dog with enough issues to be ineligible for service dog work. A match made in heaven as far as Dames is concerned.

Marci: has a son, named Dante. He’s 13 and the light of her life, despite being the reason she had to leave her music career and settle down permanently in Natoma. But if you ask her, getting be his mom is the best thing that ever happened to her.

Eden: used to be a competitive ballroom dancer, something their mother brings up at every opportunity. It was one of the only athletic activities they could stand doing as a kid and it happened to be something they were naturally gifted at.

Beacon: loves board games. Shouldn’t be much of a surprise, they’re practically a eternal shut-in, board games are par for the course. Although it took months of pleasing and pestering from a former “keeper”/watcher in Morocco to get them to play their first game, a round of connect-four. Needless to say, Beacon won that game and every other after.

What kind of clothes do the Stygian ROs like to wear? Thanks!

Oooo well, most of the cast wears work-related clothing but I do have some idea of their fashion sense!

Treble wears heavy-duty utility overalls or a mechanics jumpsuit. They tend to get hot easy and so the top half of their overalls or suit is usually undone and tied around their waist. They like to wear tank-tops or button-ups underneath their overalls, plain one for works and then fun patterned ones for play;)

Marci wears a lot of black, unsurprisingly. There’s no dress code for a bar tender, at least when its a bar that you own. But she like to keep her wardrobe simple, black jeans, short, etc. and usually a plain white or black top with some type of flannel or jean jacket for chilly nights. 

Damian still has most of his work clothes, despite retiring years ago. Slacks and fitted pressed shirts that just sit at the back of his closet. Now he mostly wears the same seven knitted sweaters or a basic flannel and shirt with jeans, think millennial dad fashion. And of course, his dog(I think this the first time I’ve mentioned Thelma) has matching lil doggie sweaters. 

Eden is probably the most fashionable of the bunch. Which is ironic considering the heavy restrictions on clothing and jewelry in labs. They’ve gotten pretty good at skirting dress codes and now that they’re technically their own boss doing field-work, anything(within in reason) goes! They like to dress up traditional academic styles, adding pops of color to traditional pieces like buttons-ups and long skirts. They also love to wear statement jewelry, large chunky pieces, their favorite are this long, anatomically correct tentacles;)

Beacon is confused by clothes. They see the appeal in expression but is utterly fascinated by the way certain aspects of clothes are culturally approved and looked down upon. Pockets, a utility, are neglected in clothes for one groups of humans but standard in another. It’s mind-boggling to them(to me as well tbh) There’s no way for them to wear clothes in their current body but they’d be open to concept.

Thank you so much!! I did get your earlier ask, I actually had to think about MBTI for a bit to decide which types fit the gang(I may have taken it a few times just to be sure haha) The site I used had fun names so I included those^^

Trebles name sounds like it could almost be a drag name (in the best way possible). Did they choose it theirself? Or do/did they have particular punny parents?

Altho yes, Treble got their name from their parents, both work in music and the opportunity presented itself and so they went for it. Treble’s siblings also have punny names. For example, they have a young sister named Rye, middle name Terra, Left.

i know the characters have just been introduced and the demo isn't even out yet, but I'm already torn between treble and styg! 😭
