How would Thorin react to his one bringing home a warg pup and begging him to let her keep it?

I can see Thorin really putting his foot down on this one that you’re not keeping it. He has to reiterate quite a few times about what these pups grow into.

“But that’s how they’re trained to be by the orcs,” you argue, holding the small, battered pup in your arms. “Please, Thorin. It’s a defenceless this little thing.”

“My love, these are by nature barbaric and evil creatures. It may seem a loving animal now, but it won’t always be. Let it go. Please.”

Reluctantly you let the pup go.

Fili. Thoughts? I know you'll forever be a Thorin fangirl, and I respect that.... but... thoughts on golden lion prince?

Fili is a lovely Dwarf. I do see a lot of posts going around about him, and he’s so soft, cuddly and sweet. I kinda see Fili as being Thorin in his younger years; strong hearted, but a little more care free and jovial. I don’t think the idea of him being Thorin’s heir has sunk in though. Fili is still led by his loyalty to his immediate family more so than a duty to the Dwarf people. Family come first (I.e. “I belong with my brother.”) And this is where we see the first major difference between Fili and Thorin: the King and the Prince. One led by duty, the other by blood and family.

Fili is a devoted family man, but enjoys letting his hair down. He’s a joy to be around and makes everyone feel at ease by his laid back attitude.
