Did ro ever worry about papa grandpa valen poor health?
There were one or two times when Valen exhausted himself out enough that it affected his health and Ro was with him. He was worried then of course, but Valen assured him he’s fine just used too much of his energy. (Look I made a a crappy chart thing.)
Whenever he gets into the red territory he overworks himself and it can be fatal if he uses up all his power. Even so there’d be some physical changes to him (getting visibly older, his features turning very…lich-like) since he also uses up the self-augmentation magic he reserves to keep up his normal looks.
It’s safe to say he never wants Ro to see him this way so he only goes there when the situation is dire enough and the immediate danger is big enough to call for it.
(I once started a mini comic where he’s on the search for Ro, continously using his magic for 3 days straight and that puts a strain on him as well. I wanted it to be the first sneak peak of his Look but.. welp. Maybe I’ll get around to redrawing the whole thing someday.)
