Started with some dicking around on a concept of half a face of exposed teeth, as well as the name Grin to go with it, already then were thinking about using it for a future Nosferatu larp character though the details were iffy the baselines where there (pair concept with another friend, Sabbat/ex-Sabbat)
Decided to give it a try further for another’s friends nosferatu photoshoot, threw on an old baldcap I had at home, and a new teeth prostetic but decided to go with more twisted and deformed teeth actually growing out of the skin instead of the human ones where it just looked as if part of the cheek was missing, came up with most of the rest of the shit on the spot and the night before such as one missing ear and one pointy one (found a cheap pair of elf ears just lying around in a drawer so why not?)
That was just a one time thing though, and I slowly began devloping the concept even further and pretty quickly decided that a seperate piece makeup for every goddamn larp was too timeconsuming, so why not just make a mask, by now the personality and the concept of the character where more or less complete and just went through some minor changes and touchups, started working on the mask, adding bits and pieces such as the bone structure on his forehead and going through 3 color changes before going with a more “natural” color compared to the more spoty greenish-brown of the photoshoot, also figure out more of his clothes and ended up finding the perfect jacket for him as well, my personal dog-tag also got changed into a more time appropriate wrist dog tag with his actual name on
The very core however got devloped during the photoshoot, and I’ve kept almost everything from there with only minor changes, pretty sure I even wear the same gloves to be honest haha, in the end I’m very happy with it
