A Villain I love: causes brain damage in one character, abuses another on screen and threatens to leave his body in a ditch when he’s done, was gonna take over a new born baby’s brain, planed to enslave an alien race using said baby to infiltrate their religion. 

Me: wow that’s some dark shit. What a great dark villain

A creepy portion of his fans: uwu he’s an abuse survivor so its okay he did all this he’s a gag villain away he’s not dangerous

I’m trapped in my office for like another thirty minutes and it’s honestly a bad time for everyone as I’m just going to perpetuate the cycle of the [ FOGHORN ] house falling prey to that statue.

Sometimes I think about a certain character who was such a huge impact on another characters psych that he had to tear her out of his own head to cope with what happened..

She's like the embodiment of the trauma in many ways. Her existence started as a way to cope and then her existence leads to the rest of his trauma. Not her fault.. but it's pretty fucked up.

What a tragedy.

Character vague rant undercut.. so ignore me

I feel kind of a hypocrite for being bothered by this character’s fanon getting spread around like gospal because I too prefer the fanon to canon.. but like this character is a really really awful person despite for what ever reason being on the good guys’ side.

She freaking complains about people not wanting her to give them cyborg body parts. She chased down a man with severe trauma because she wanted to electrocute his condition away. She straight up fetishizes mentally ill people.. but since its all played for laughs its kind of ignored and forgotten..

She is a pretty fun character when she’s not.. treating people like fun toys for her amusement. When she first showed up I was so excited cause she was so energetic and funny.. but then all that other stuff started popping up and I clung to my rp partner’s characterization.

Like I wish there was a way her fanon fix up could exist along side condemning what she’s done in canon instead of fandom as a collective ignoring what she has done..

"-name ominated- got a redemption! He's a good guy now." If you want to believe that that's fine. But he manipulated a man and planned to kill him (while cleverly making it sound like he was going to protect him). Manipulate an army. Was shown to be the one giving the orders to the another army who slaughtered people on both sides of the conflict. Helped kill off most of a planets inhabitants leaving them with barely enough people to keep their society going if no one ever found out about them. Left said planet to it's own fate without doing anything to help them DURING his redemption scene. Bonus points the man he personally manipulated died so like that guy will never see his manipulator face justice ever. So um.. yeah I reaaaaly can't like his so called redemption and it really freaks me out to see it treated so fondly and I just want to ignore it ever happened.. and I don't want people to hurt me for not liking it..
