I hate it when people portray Lithuania as a weak crybaby in fanfiction and other fanworks. His page on the wiki says that, "Lithuania controlled Middle and Eastern Europe during the Middle Ages, and was a formidable nation that once beat Prussia, until he was taken by Russia."

Yes, the wiki page also says that he's easy to take advantage of, but that doesn't mean he's spineless.

"It's based on real events by the way. Partisan warfare was a big deal in Lithuania and the biggest underground resistance to the Soviets. (the resistance was big in Ukraine too) Poor things they had horrible conditions, lack of food, arms and pretty much anything else. The only hope the guys had were the idea that American forces would show up to help, cause you know, they kind of promised they would with the whole Truman Doctrine and Atlantic Charter stuff. They never did though, and why I understand why (an open war with USSR is no good) it still is a dick move >:T"

I hate it when people bash Belarus for not wanting Lithuania around her. It’s creepy to see people say that she owes him her pussy because he likes her. Guess what, she doesn’t.

Think “Every time I open my eyes I see Matthew” to remember that sees word is mato.

So I found online Lithuanian lessons.

And as I'm reading it, I keep picturing Lithuania teaching this way, with the occasional English slip-ups and silly stories to remember what words belong together and everything. 

It's super cute.

And I can see him going on a long explanation of "oh, this is the way you do it for this, but not for this, etc. etc." and then ending with "but you don't have to worry about it" just like this author does. 

...I am a strange person.
