Individual refinements go faster after that because I have an idea of how they fit within the group. Does the star of the show feel like they stand out? Can you tell which is a teen, a kid, an adult? A good way to test if you have same face syndrome is to draw a character facing forward and try to make the two sides of their face as different as possible. If it’s visible that it’s different faces then you’re prolly good and if it just looks awkwardly inconsistent then you might want to experiment a little more.
