What is your character’s Boggart? Is it embarrassing for them?
Sirius’ boggart changed over the years as one of them literally became true. He never really cared about his family, and the only one he ever wanted as a family and a brother was James Potter. Seeing him dead, followed by Lily’s body, Remus’ and Peter’s. His friends, and the only ones he loved like his own little family, gone. But James’ body is the trigger, it never embarrassed him to let others know. Its part of who he is and he believes that telling their fear can help overcome it.
But the moment he saw James’ body when he arrived at Godric’s Hollow that dreadful night, his boggart became reality.
After his escape from Azkaban, quite fittingly, his boggart changed to Dementors, and how they looked at him through their black capes with the desire to take his soul away everytime they went through his cell. 12 years in that place was a long time, and quite fittingly, paralleling his first boggart, seeing Harry’s lifeless body surrounded by dementors is his worst fear, given Harry is the only family he had left.
