“Oh--are you okay...?” Strelitzia had been prepared to aid the stranger, to jump in and ensure that a stray heartless hadn’t succeeded in catching him off guard. However, he seemed to be more than capable of handling himself, as any menacing shadows that lingered about had been dealt with quite easily. He had acted far more quickly than she had (something that made her feel slightly embarrassed). “You’re not hurt, are you?”
@charavgis started following slumturk
“I know I got bright hair an’ all that, but ya don’t gotta stare at me yo.” Reno grinned, not actually bothered by the other glancing at him. He was used to getting stares. It just came with having such bright hair like his own.
“Ya look like ya wanna say somethin’. If ya got somethin’ to say, then just say it yo. No need to keep things all bottled up.”

Her expression beams with a proud and motherly fondness. Fondness of a memory from the past and the opportunity to witness how much a person in that memory has grown. A boy... not much older than five... now stands before her as a young man.
❝ You’ve come a long way. ❞

Xion fidgeted anxiously as Riku considered her statement. She really was afraid, in spite of the fact that she was nothing more than a puppet without a heart to call her own. Without even memories to call her own, save for the ones she’d made with her friends. Those memories were her greatest treasures, those times with Axel and Roxas that she would never forget. The idea that she would lose her friends...
The way Namine had explained, they would forget about her. Everyone would, as if she’d never even existed. Everything she’d gone through, all that precious time, would be lost. Once she returned to Sora, that would be it. How was she supposed to choose when she stood to lose everything that meant anything to her? Was it really in the name of the greater good? She understood that Sora needed the memories she held onto, the dreams she’d had of a past that wasn’t hers. If he didn’t wake up... well, she understood Riku’s pain in that regard, as she’d waited weeks while Roxas slept in his room. It wouldn’t be fair to force him to suffer much longer.
Still, she was wary of the decision. She wanted to stay with her friends, but the cost was so high. Then Riku spoke again, reassuring words that she’d never considered before. “... You think?” she had to ask. “I thought it would all disappear... You think Sora would let me stay me? Even if I hold his important memories...” It didn’t make much sense to her, as she wasn’t certain of the process. Namine would have to separate his memories from her in order for her to maintain her identity, wouldn’t she? And she’d already said that was impossible... If she was able to stay herself, though, maybe... maybe she would be remembered somehow.
"This isn't about me, it's about you." (for aqua!)

“i-i…”
master is taken aback by the younger man’s words, sapphire hues turning quickly away from him in what can best be described as shame. she’s spent so much of her life worrying about others, taking care of the people she cares about and striving to be strong enough to protect them (she’d failed) that she’s often guilty of forgetting to take care of herself. what was it that master eraqus had advised her once so long ago? that you can’t pour from an empty cup?
clutching hands to her chest, she shies away from him just a bit, recoiling as if shielding herself from his words. she knows they aren’t meant to hurt, but they bring about a realization that she often finds herself trying to avoid.
“riku, i’m… i’m fine. please, don’t worry about me… i can take care of myself. i just want to help you and the others.”

Riku didn’t have to admit it, because he saw the whole thing. And Roxas definitely wasn’t going to try to hide how amused he was. Though he doesn’t exactly have in-tact memories of learning how to skate, he couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to make fun of someone generally considered the best by those around him. Roxas leans back on folded arms, nonchalant, and tries to surmise just what went wrong here. “...you might wanna consider some better gear if you’re gonna go at it like that.“ he’s both making light of the spectacle and being totally serious. Roxas knew Riku went a little too hard sometimes, but he didn’t expect to see him go Sora level hard.
“Why not have Sora or someone else teach you? I mean...unless you like face-planting.” It’s a genuine question; Roxas thought Riku was smarter than that, than trying to do things on his own. Maybe people really didn’t change.

@charavgis saw the north star !
✽ ⋆ with the last ounce of energy she had, she blasted a heartless with a firaga spell before slumping to her knees. it took her a bit to maintain her heavy breaths in a steady and regulated pace. but as soon as she heard a shuffle behind her, she shot a blast of fire at what she thought was a heartless. then she summoned her blade and charged toward it. but when the flames dispersed, her eyes met with a boy of alabaster hair and sea green eyes.
her cheeks blazed.
