Charax: the Twisted Wood Hydra

Charax is an unknown class monster of the Dragon element. What appears to be one monster is actually a colony of these things pretending to be one organism. And they're really good at it.

See, normally they live their lives eating leaves and turning trees into tents, but when the colony is threatened Charax gather materials from their environment and combine them with their silk to form a sort of "mech suit".

The size of the colony and what resources are available affect the size and strength their mech. Some colonies can reach over 150 in numbers and are even rumored to be capable of fending off a full grown Deviljho. Such an amazing feat for a creature barely taller than a poogie.

It's believed that their presence benefits a forest, choking out invasive plants with sheets of silk and trimming away dead branches to use as nest material. Loggers must be careful to never take more than what's needed for building. They make an effort of replanting a sapling for every tree chopped, lest they incur the wrath of The Charax.

I took inspiration from many different things. Design wise, this species is based of dragon headed caterpillars with a little inspiration from tomato worms. The latter is where the tail spike comes from.

They're also based on bagworms and tent caterpillars, as well as the legendary Hydra. I'm really proud of this species and I'm so happy to share it. Also here's a bonus pic of the mech form.

Mon Chara X, j'ai dut le faire il y a un moment , en suite ses pour vous parlez du Cosplay je pence que je vais commencer a arrêter petit a petit suite a des milliards de probleme , de gens où j'ai fait une simple erreur et quand je les ais vue en convention , bas ils avaient simplement parler derrière mon dos a tout leurs potes , résultats je n'ai pas apprécié tant que sa la convention , j'ai un peu été dégoûter et même si j'aime les mangas et Undertale... Se genre de façon de penser m'exaspère j'aurais préféré simplement que il me prenne comme nightmare pendent la convention et sha en dehors ... Bref sinon je fait comme mémé la Paris manga 2019 et peut être la japan expo 2019 , sa dépend si j'en ais envie
