New ship, Charlotte/Grey (CharGrey/Sapphic Tales, still work shopping the name)

These two are both fairy tale ladies, Charlotte's story took inspiration from Sleeping Beauty/Briar Rose and Grey's story took inspiration from Cinderella. They both have blue color schemes (Charlotte's cursed roses/Grey's hair) and Grey does have roses on her design. Charlotte is someone who keeps her emotions hidden while Grey is very emotional but keeps her face hidden as much as possible. Also their magic is pretty similar. Charlotte can use her briars to absorb curses and Grey can transmute the properties of curses and uses her fortification magic also takes the shape of flowers.

Then, going into Charlotte's curse. Charlotte's relationship with love and romance was tainted at a young age. She couldn't fall in love freely and sought out to find someone who could take her in battle and Grey absolutely could. Despite her anxieties, Grey doesn't back down and push herself to her limits to fight for what she believes in.

Then you have the way to break her curse. The stipulation to breaking the curse is "to have your heart stolen by a man" and Grey's transformation magic could be a loophole around the curse. Often times Grey does present herself as a man and who's to say that if Grey transforms into a man that Charlotte loves it wouldn't break the curse.

You also have the type of person Grey is interested in. On chapter 103, Grey says "someone who will lead me and be gentle..." is her ideal partner. Charlotte is the captain of her squad, that means she's used to leading people and judging from the times we've seen Charlotte interact with her squad, she leads with care and poise. Someone who easily fits into the category of leading and gentleness.

Had to do this one a bit differently because A LOT of these guys never share a frame together.

Shipping characters who have never been on the same frame together, much less met, is a lot of fun until you have to write a fic with them. Then you need to break down their characters on a molecular level and figure out how they work and interact with different people before writing them as a couple.

The issue with liking a ship you thought up yourself is that you have to make everything yourself until someone else gets excited about it too.
