I saw the Diana wardrobe exhibit after son William had suggested she auction off her wardrobe pieces. It was quite surreal to see hundreds of her outfits in person. Many still had lap creases that formed from when she sat in them in the limosines or at events. I remember also seeing the sapphire blue off the shoulder dress that she wore and danced with John Travolta in at the White House. She was remarkably slender, tall and elongated and was much more delicate and slim than her her photos would project. I received a pair of tiara earrings and a brooch from the Princess Diana Foundation for contributing. The foundation was using the exhibits to raise funding for one or more of her causes. This was her idea through her son William which showed her benevolence, even to those of us who contributed for the viewing if the wardrobe exhibit in support of her wonderful causes. That is one brilliant way of putting royal fashion extravagance to use. It was not just a marvelous idea.
