(I discovered SAI today and asked myself, “could I, a mere mouse artist who has only ever drawn in MS Paint, learn to draw in a different program?” Then I managed to make this and I’m downright angry at the fact it looks okay. It took about twice as long as MS Paint and I know it’s full of plenty of mistakes, but it still looks pretty good in my opinion. I think I’ll use it for Charizard’s profile page once I get that done.)

(The blog hasn’t died just yet!! :D

This was just a quick sketch I did while waiting for my internet to stop being dead (hence the lack of color), but that said: I got Breath of the Wild and it consumed my soul. Then by the time the staying up all night to play it died down, real life decided it was going to smack me in the face and I had a week or two that left me completely emotionally drained. I’m still working on getting past that with the help of YouTube videos and VC Pokemon Yellow and a lot of M&Ms but hopefully I should be able to get back around to daily Charizard drawing very soon!! I miss drawing the big dragon puppy and I have a few asks I’m looking forward to answering, so please don’t think I’m ignoring anyone! I promise I’m working on it!

I’m also trying to get some writing done for Camp NaNoWriMo, and if it helps any the end of last month and beginning of this one is also doing a good job of killing my usual motivation for that, as well. So Chaizard isn’t alone in being a victim of my out-of-sortsness. I’m falling down on all of my creative endeavors! ... Hooray?

#charizard daily #charizard #sketch #or well this is what sketches look like for me #one day I'll master the art of proper sketches with like guidelines and circles and scritchy lines #for some reason I always find it easier (if less effective) to just draw the things rather than start with sketch skeletons #I am an artistic abomination #also it felt really good to draw my big ol fire dragon again #since I haven't been drawing him every day I got a few proportions and general body shapes wrong #but I know I can get back in the groove of things!
