I was re-watching Brooklyn 99 (like always) and I just realized something. In S01-E08, the one with Jake's favorite author Jimmy Brogan, Jake gets drunk with Jimmy and then the next day at work, Amy reads out the texts he sent her the previous night.

And I just realized,

Jake texted AMY when he was drunk. Not Gina, his childhood friend. Not Charles, his best bud at work but Amy.
