We arrived in #TelAviv in time for the #gayprideparade scheduled for 12nn. With a storm starting to rage in Manila and Hong Kong, we were worried we wouldn't make it. We refused offers from the Cathay Pacific to rebook our flights or cover an overnight stay at a hotel. "No we have to make it" was our resolve. And, we did make it and it was glorious. The parade started nearby #MeirPark, went through the main streets of the city, going down the road next to the beach, and culminating at a massive party at #CharlesClorePark. The energy was infectious that we forgot to apply more sunblock (prolly with some Tropical Asian overconfidence), giving me some serious sunburn and tanlines for the rest of the trip. At some point, we would ask people where is the actual "gay area" in Tel Aviv, a usual question whenever we visit a new city. Everyone told us that there was none, every area on Tel Aviv is for gay people. That's what I love about the city: it was ours as much as anyone. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 . . #telavivgaypride #gaypridetelaviv2018 #pridemonth (at Tel Aviv, Israel)
