Charles Lyell (14 November 1797 - 22 February 1875), in full Sir Charles Lyell, was the most famous Scottish geologist. He was one of the most important British scientists in history, Sir Charles Lyell wrote “Principles of Geology”, a landmark work in geology. He demonstrated the power of existing natural causes in explaining Earth's history.

I’ve been reading up on this man’s (Charles Lyell) book titled “Principles of Geology”.  He had some interesting things to say and now I’m convinced that uniformitarianism provides the info needed to understand earth’s geological history. 🌎
