Today in TV History: On this day in 1981, one of the most infamous episodes of Saturday Night Live aired. Infamous for that fact that the work “f***” was said on the show not once, but twice. In his performance of “Partyup”, musical guest Prince sang the line “that war is such a f***ing bore” practically unnoticed. The more noticeable and surprising f-bomb came at the very end of the show when host Charlene Tilton from popular show “Dallas” came out to say her thank you to the cast. Castmember Charles Rocket still in character as JR Ewing exclaims to Tilton “I just want to know who the f*** shot me!” Rocket was later fired partly due to his adlib while Prince was unofficially banned until the 2000s. #Prince #CharlesRocket #SNL #fbomb
