Happy birthday, @charliewolfemd! Today Charlie turns 29!
[ TEXT ] Hey! I know this is probably really weird that I'm actually semi-opening up to you about things, but I'm planning on talking to Sooks this weekend about how I feel. [ TEXT ] I thought about it and I think you're right that she should know. [ TEXT ] Thanks again, Kate. :)
HERE
Other than New York, where have they lived and for how long? How was their life there? Why did they move? How do they feel about those places?
The only other place Ali has lived is her hometown of Bedford, New Hampshire. She lived there for eighteen years, always in the same house, up until she left for FIT. The Torres family have a huge house, and although she always felt super fortunate about that, she never particularly loved Bedford, and never really felt like she fit in with the other girls her age. She felt like everything about her was different, right down to the fact that they could all totally straighten there hair in the mornings and it’d stay in place all day, whereas her naturally curly hair was a nightmare to make straight, and would’ve gone back to curly within a couple hours, so it was just hard for her to feel like she fit properly.
The reason Ali moved to New York was for school and for her future career. She’d be lying if she said she didn’t adore Sex and the City and all of Carrie Bradshaw’s outfits, so always felt like New York was definitely the place for her to make it big in the fashion industry, which is why she stayed in the city after her college graduation. Ali will probably never feel like she fully fits in anywhere, but she definitely feels more at home in New York than she ever did in New Hampshire, and likes that the place is so diverse, especially in comparison to her hometown.
