“I enjoyed, undisturbed, the treble pleasure of having her near me, hearing the sound of her voice - a sound sweet and satisfying in my ear”
Today, I finished Charlotte Brontë's "The Professor". I thoroughly enjoyed this book; from the very beginning, I was captured by Charlotte’s writing. I love how this book was written. From front to back, I felt like I was alongside William as he traveled to Brussels. I could hear every conversation, feel the emotions growing between him and Frances, and adored every moment. I am a sucker for romance, especially when written by one of the Brontë sisters... I'm itching to reread Wuthering Heights now.
“I should be glad to live with you always'; and she made a sort of movement, as if she would have clung to me, but restraining herself she only added with earnest emphasis.”
