Marius thought it rather brave of a mortal to come to him with open disrespect. He did not find it amusing, but rather foolish and dangerous. Then again, she didn’t know the kind of creature he was-- Rose would never betray their kind by telling their secrets to a human. She likely thought him nothing more than a man twice Rose’s age.
