While we may constantly feel lost in regards to our worth and lot in life, it best to keep in mind that we do have the choice to either give our energy to endeavors that cost us our time, energy and resources, or, to seek that which brings us a sense of connection, purpose and belonging, not just with those we build family and community with, but with ourselves.

The best way to go about that is to keep in mind that we do not always need to give our time, worth and energy to those who aren’t willing to meet halfway in their efforts.

Self love, is just as important as showing others that same compassion and empathy. If it’s necessary, take some time to find someplace to recharge and calm down, even healthy hobbies can help in someway.

It can be hard in times like this to find the means to relax and take the time to find small silver linings in those dark clouds, but it’s better for you in the long run to not see things as negatively as they appear. Realism and fantasy are fine in small measure, but once it becomes delusion and fear, it’s unhealthy and never leads to anything good.

It helps to find like minded people and a community you can rely on to help bolster you and one another. It also helps not to repeat the same mistakes we’ve made and work on improving ourselves to be better than we were before.

It’s through all this that we have the ability to change things for the better, but it’s ultimately up to you to continue making those same mistakes and closing yourself off to the world at the risk of your well being or to make the efforts to be and do better.

Personal charm reading!

No spirit guide present, and using Astrophel, my charm set.

(This is open for free readings, by the way, but readings are generally fluid and are read on intuition. Just note this is actually a very large set and I only pull so many charms out to throw instead of throwing the whole set - however the four shapes for querent, companion, family, and friends is always present. Free readings may have less charms pulled depending on how much I feel like pulling out.)

All meanings of each charm:

Bull: racing forward, often without considering consequences • being backed into a corner, often that makes you aggressive / violent

Crown, gold: self identity • respect

Dragon, gold: making movements towards better • strength • wealth

Dragon, silver: regality • the divine

Flower, blue petals: growth that comes from sad places

Flower, pink petals: growing chaotically

Key, gold: unlocking potential • guidance from spirit guides

Noticed things:

⛤ Both dragons are present in the reading in somewhat close proximity. Both dragons can represent a massive force of nature element to the reading. Their closeness implies it will come, but not immediately soon, but still soon.

⛤ The middle circle can be said to start at the Querent and curls counter-clockwise with a small pause/break between the golden dragon and the lightning star and locked heart.

One can choose to read this as a pause between making movements, that one should pause. The counter-clockwise can indicate the past, and so I, as the querent, need to not return to the past or how I could have been better in the past and focusing on where I was open or not in the past.

⛤ Querent is closest to Friends, which is closest to the flower with pink petals. This can represent that I will expand in the friend sector quickly and perhaps chaotically, even if not in an ideal way necessarily. One can also look at the nearby bull, key, and abstract red hearts to rely on and lean on my spirit guides, but to not rush into things.

⛤ Companion is beside the abstract red hearts, the golden dragon, and the golden key. These companions will help me move forward towards a better place, as well as help unlock my potential.

⛤ Family is by the tree, which indicates growth within my relationships with my family.

⛤ Blue flower, crown, lightning star, mirror, and heart locket are all in one clump. It can represent a lot of struggles and hardships with my self identity, that I'm not necessarily willing to face, but need to.

⛤ There's also a clump of bull, small pink flower, key, and abstract red hearts. I have the capability to grow and change through the bonds I have with others, but I must be careful to not rush in stupidly.

⛤ Silver dragon and big pink flower sit relatively on their lonesome in the southeast and northwest corners.

Silver dragon itself can indicate spirit guides, them being at a slight distance away from me during this time. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but rather just a thing.

Big pink flower represents plain beauty, so it might be a call to be graceful and work towards beauty in my life and space.

ooo. could i ask for a charm reading for my meulin makara (kurlozways) tl? more specifically, maybe a general idea for how things went down for us. for context purposes:

i remember a damara zahhak, mituna ampora, kankri maryam, porrim megido, and horuss peixes. i was very selective with who i talked to. i think i was a prince of heart. i remember everyone being relatively close prior to our session but things kind of broke down after. we still all talked obviously but it was never really the same.

Yet another ask that I misread, hence why this ask took so long to get out. So you get two readings. Also. Same kin, different swap. Rad.

Reading 1 (the misread) - I used this spread by @kin-rot, linked to me by Mod Nepeta's google doc of spreads! It's less about how the timeline went as a whole and more about how your personal growth went, but I hope it helps nevertheless! Remember, if it feels wrong then it probably is!

Your past life as a whole - A black umbrella - You were very capable, able to weather the storms. You were safe and protected by your own abilities.

Theme of major challenges - A camera - You (and your friends, from the feel of it) had a hard time focusing on the here and now, instead focusing on the future and how to make sure you remembered everything you wanted to remember.

How you handled them, and their effects on you - An open book, upside down as if a spot is being saved - You got distracted easily, trying to remember every single little thing like your life depended on it. Of course, this led to a harder time remembering anything clearly and in detail at all.

Lessons learned during this life - A winged clock - Time passes incredibly quickly, and though it's important to remember, it is more important to experience it.

An emotion/feeling/state of mind that dominated you - A top hat - Here, the top hat is to represent high society and prestige, a representation that works well for a Makara's high standing in troll society!

An action that you took because of it - Piano - This one came out upside down, which I think is relevant. Instead of it representing high society again, I'm interpreting it to mean the loss of high society. It feels like an action you took willingly and abruptly to me, though when I ran it past Mod Nepeta they thought it would be less willing. Your mileage may vary.

A key event in your timeline - A flower with a smile in it - This charm is meant to urge the reciever to stop and smell the flowers. Coupled with the next charm, I think the key event it's referencing is you meeting at least some of your fellow players and making friends with them. They helped you feel calm, like you would still be cared for even if you weren't the 'best' version of you.

Your role in the key event - A crossroad - You felt like you had to make a choice - either you could stay with the people who made you feel relaxed and happy, or you could go back to the people who pushed you to always be better than the day before, never letting you rest.

Your standing with others - A sunrise - The others looked to you when it came time to make a new start. They knew you had experience starting over, and that they could trust you to guide them through their new start as well.

Others' standing with you - A stoplight - You kinda viewed the others as being noncommittal - they weren't always able to move past what they had lost when the game began, but you were because the only things you lost were a past you had already left.

Something you've forgotten - An unlocked padlock - I'd read this as you forgetting how you let people in, how you connected with those around you and how they connected with you.
