↳ BRIEF BACKGROUND INFORMATION.
Growing up with a single Mom, Artie was painted as a bit of an outcast among his peers. For years, she smothered him with too much affection -- partially to make up for their father skipping town, and partially because, well, she didn't know what else to do, quite frankly. He's used to it by now, obviously, but the touchy-feely sentiments are still going strong after twenty-three years.
His younger years were predominantly normal. Artie garnered an interest in video games at a young age, like most boys his age, and immediately was drawn to spending hours holed up in his room, playing the latest new game on whichever system he could afford. Throughout the years, he found out he wanted to know more -- how it was done, the process that went into making a game, and what he could do to become the next big designer.
His high marks in Math made noise with the admissions board over at EWU, and Artie was accepted under the Computer Science major, with a concentration in animation and game development. Though he was excited about studying in a field that he loved, once he graduated, he came to the sad realization that job offers were slim to none. He didn't regret his choice, though, even if a small part of him felt guilty for having his Mom spend her money on a practically useless degree.
Currently, Artie works part-time at a Game Stop to pay his rent. On the side, he's slowly but surely working on collecting a gathering on the most accessible website of the new age -- YouTube. He's not 'famous' yet, and to be frank, he has a long way to go before he reaches the likes of Daily Grace and Pew Die Pie, but he's convinced that if he can get the internet to like him, he can get a company to like him.
» WHY JOIN SIBERIA?
Simple -- Artie wants notoriety. He wants people to know his name, to know his trade, and to want to work with him. He's exceptionally talented when it comes to his work (his sketchbooks and blueprints nearly speak for themselves), but he's never been in a position to get the attention he craves. What better place to get his name out there than a reality show? Plus, with the hefty sum in mind, Artie figures he can use the cold hard cash to make his YouTube career more professional -- a boy with a webcam doesn't nearly send as powerful of a message as a man with a camera crew.
