Michael DuPont is one of the most respected personal physicians in England. He was born in 1975 in Cambridge, into one of the most powerful Catholic bloodlines in the world. As a young child, he could often be found examining anatomy textbooks instead of playing, and his interests in medicine and anatomy led him to complete an annual internship under the tutelage of the doctor who would become his mentor, and one of the most influential people in his life. When he was sixteen, he met his future wife, Aurélie, and later graduated at the top of his class, receiving all honors that the school offered.
At the age of eighteen, he married Aurélie, and they honeymooned in Greece. When their daughter was born, Michael gave Aurélie the control over the domestic, including naming their child, and he readily approved of the name of Daphne for their daughter. The succeeding years were challenging, insofar as the need to balance raising a family with the grueling medical education that awaited him. When Daphne was nearly twelve, Michael finished his residency, and eventually settling into life as a personal physician in the succeeding years.
When Daphne was sixteen and left home, Michael and Aurélie were heartbroken and left without answers. Answers they would not receive until a decade later. Michael was on call at a London hospital when none other than Preston Winthrope, the boy he had once believed to be his future son in law, arrived fresh from the scene of a horrific car accident. Knowing nothing of the boy’s deeds, even against his own daughter, Michael treated him, and would soon receive a letter that the latter requested he give to Daphne. Months later, after finding Daphne in a modeling catalog, Michael followed a relatively easy path to finding his daughter, at which point he delivered the letter, before learning what Preston had done.
It was the first time that Dr. DuPont had ever acted in violation of his sacred oath, to do no harm, threatening to do just that to Preston. He, however, did not act on those threats, and both he and Aurélie were simply happy to have their daughter and granddaughter in their lives. Michael dotes on his granddaughter, Arielle, and is the perfect husband, father, and doctor for his patients. The family is together again, and though the future is uncertain, long hidden answers are now clearer than ever.
