Nothing made Jace feel like an important part of the community quite like being dunked into a giant tank of water. And while it was fun, and he did enjoy raising money... he was relieved when his turn was over, and he found himself leaving the locker room, hands in his hair, smoothing it back from his face to pull it into a quick, easy bun, not looking up until he had nearly walked into someone else heading towards the carnival grounds. "Whoa, sorry!"

With the past few days of chaos, Gwen thought it would be best to take a beach day with Beatrice. A slice of normalcy throughout this chaotic wind of events sounded exactly what she needed. Sometimes the scattered families/people in the gymnasiums got to her more than she let on.

Beatrice threw one of her sand toys across the beach and easily landed next to someone. "Bea, you aren't supposed to throw things at people. It's not nice." She gently scolded with a smile before picking up her daughter and headed over to Chase. "I'm so sorry. She likes to throw."

When Chelsea realized they were low on volunteers for the cookie decorating in town, she figured she could recruit a few people to help out. One of the top recruits on her list was Chase, in part being that she had easy access to him. Him being her neighbor and the fact that she was spending more and more of her time at the shop, but also because she figured he was someone who enjoyed volunteering his time. But the fact that he was late did not bode well, though really she just wondered if Chase was okay since he wasn’t exactly the flaky type. In any case, she would manage without him for the time being, making sure all participants had the right amount of supplies for their cookie decorating dreams. Finally, she spotted him making his way over to her, and Chelsea was quick to close the gap. “You’re late. Did something happen? I’ve got things covered for the most part but I think we’ll need a new batch of cookies soon and I can’t transport them all on my own.”
