Headcanons:
Kankri definitely enjoys educating people when he can and because of that love of educating people, he becomes a college teacher to make sure that the younger generations can carry on knowledge. Kankri doesn’t understand most things like when it comes to flirtations and being teased (AKA: he takes things rather literally)
Kankri tries to avoid fighting if it is necessary. While he may get into arguments, he doesn’t mean to make people angry with him, but merely to make sure that they know the other points and sides of their arguments.
He also tends to accidentally isolate people from him. Like said, he doesn’t try to do it on purpose, but it’s more the fact that people view him as a know it all and so they move away from him when he merely wants to help.

Why did people continue to ask him for coffee? Why did people continue lower their eyelids when speaking to him and scan him over? The virtue was small, sure, but that wasn’t a reason to keep looking at him. Cleaning off his board for the class, he gathered his books, slipping them into his bag while the person next to him asked to take him out for a coffee. Another teacher.
"I do not drink coffee.“ He offered tea instead and Castitas still shook his head. “I would rather return to the library before heading to my next class to teach. Excuse me.” Slipping by, the other merely clicked his tongue and watched the Virtue walk off.
He didn’t understand this.
Why did people constantly continue to insist that a one night stand was the best feeling in the world? To get your partner drunk enough to make them sleep with you in order to make them forget the night. What happened to chivalry, to proving yourself to the one you wanted to be with instead of just a quick fuck? Perhaps it was what was to be expected with how mortals have grown through the times and changed their love.
It didn’t mean the courtly love was dead, however. Perhaps that’s what he would talk about next class.
