Hans knew Sabrina was not taking the news of his engagement well. He knew her far too well to know that. He wasn’t going to seek her out. He knew he had to put their past behind him and focus on his future wife now. Anna was under his spell and that’s all that mattered. Well, that and people believing their love was true and meant to be. Hans was playing the part of a man madly in love with his fiancée all too well. He was on his way to the candy shop Anna worked at to meet her for lunch when he saw her. Hans was going to try and avoid her all together but he knew Sabrina caught sight of him. He took a deep breath before approaching her. “Brina...I--” For the first time in a long time he was at a loss for words. What they had had was special and that was something he knew he had to ignore. “I’m sorry you found out this way,” was all he said at first, knowing she must have seen that post. “You have to understand that I’m happy though. And you deserve to move on and be happy as well.”

Berlioz was having the type of night where he just wanted to be left alone. That didn’t seem like it was happening at his house that evening. His mother was hovering and he told her he was going to bed to get her off his back. At his age he shouldn’t have to sneak out of the house, but he did. It wasn’t worth the argument and lying was just easier. Berlioz didn’t want to go anywhere crowded like a bar or even a late night spot for food. He opted for the beach instead. The moon wasn’t as bright as sometimes but still reflected on the water. There wasn’t a soul in site easier which made things easier for Berlioz. He’d brought his pills. They were like a safety blanket for him at this point. He thought he was alone when he was doing them but when he looked up and sniffled he noticed a girl not standing to far from him. Panic took over his body and mind and he just stared for a moment, not able to hide the bright orange bottle in his hand fast enough. “I was just leaving,” he said barely loud enough for her to hear. Berlioz wanted to run but that would only seem more suspicious. He hated how he had been snuck up on so easily when he had been minding his own business. He should have known better than to do what he was doing out in the open. As he stood up he wiped sand off of his pants then looked over at her. The sight of her was somber, for some reason, and it left Berlioz feeling unsettled. “Are you okay?” he finally asked her.

It had been quite some time since Hans had seen Sabrina. Their relationship was messy at the end and sometimes he regretted how things ended, but he knew he never would have gotten as far as he had in life if he had stayed with her. It was almost bittersweet. When he spotted her at what once was their favorite lunch spot his breath caught in his throat. He hadn’t been there in ages because apart of him felt wrong not being there with her. He’d hoped she hadn’t spotted him and even requested to move towards the back of the restaurant discreetly. Hans tried to just pay and sneak out when he was done but it seemed they were both leaving at the same time. He found himself face to face with her and he let out a breath. “Sabrina,” he said with an awkward smile. “Hi,” was all he could manage to say at first. Looking at her made him sad so he had to look away to regain himself. “It’s been a while,” he finally said as he glanced back in her direction. “I hope you’re well.”

Ace had been strolling around the corridors, finally coming to a stand still as he saw the other in his sights. He couldn't deny that he thought she was attractive, and so his eyes light as he approached. "Good evening, dear. Might I ask why you wonder alone?"
