Awakening with a pounding headache, Dale groaned loudly, feeling around the bed for his phone when his hand hit another body. He pried open his eyes and squinted to focus before he seen the long brown hair peaking out from the covers. He racked his brain before remembering the night before, a vague flashback of Surya falling into his bed swept through his thoughts, a smug smile sitting on his lips.
He pressed the TV on, and something looked off, water pushing through the arena. He didn’t pay very close attention to the games usually, but he’d thrown money at that kid from two so he wanted to see how he was doing.
Dale nudged Surya with his elbow before leaning over to grab the half empty bottle of champagne they must have opened the night before, taking a long swig. “Looks like they’re trying to drown ‘em all” he laughed.
