15. Playing with a pet

Malia was enjoying the warm day, relaxing on a sprawled out blanket on some grass near the compound. Since there weren’t many people around, Malia found it to be the perfect time to ‘train’ Nagini. There was a small box on the blanket and Malia opened it, lifting a small mouse out by it’s tail. The snake was sunbathing on the blanket until Malia reached out with her free hand and lightly pet Nagini’s head. “Lunch time mi amor.” Malia lightly tossed the mouse into the grass and watched as Nagini went right after it, catching it quickly. “Good girl. You’re becoming quite the hunter.”

The hours of the party had dragged on a bit for Luca, the beer not hitting as fast as he’d like, so he’d resorted to hiding himself away into a corner and sketching on a napkin. At first, it was a doodle, but the longer he went at it, it was turning into quite the drawing of what seemed to be the town centre in the arena, buildings and all.

He pulled his head up then, when he noticed someone at the table. “Oh sorry, is this your seat?”
