“You know, I have to admit... This is quite fun~!”
“I quite like the winter...despite the history it tends to have with me,” Iris murmured, watching the sky and it’s clouds pass by. The wind was biting today, but snow had already fallen for Hazakura Temple. “It’s so pretty and quiet... Not only do I value that, but Christmas means gifts for friends! And New Years is never to be missed, even out here.” She giggles lightly, smiling a little brighter.
“Ahhh, I can’t wait to bring out the kimono again... I quite like being a little festive, even if only for a short while.”
“Hello again, everyone! Iris Fey here. Just wanted to report in a little to give an update on what’s been going on, that way I won’t worry anyone any more than I already have...
“Um, which I hope I haven’t done too much of... If so, I’m sorry!”
“In short, I decided to go visit other temples as I originally planned! I’m no longer at Hazakura, but depending on how my outside training goes, I might return... If not, I’ll be working on my future plans outside of temple work. I hope you’ll all support me in my endeavors~!
“With that said... I want to take some questions! The day is winding down here, so I have free time before dinner and bed to do so! Please, ask away~!”
“Kiss me...beneath the milky twilight. Lead me...out on the moonlit floor. Lift your open hand. Strike up the band, and the make fireflies dance; silvermoon’s sparkling...
“So kiss me~” Someone’s having a little singing session to herself! There’s been a lot of knitting and crochet lately, so Iris felt up to a little embroidery... It’s quite relaxing and the spring weather has been stellar.
Maybe in a bit, she’ll brew up some tea and go star-gazing. Probably still a good night for it!
...For now, she sighs in blissful content and continues her work, still singing softly.
It was a quiet day in jail when she’d gotten the news. A memory to never be forgotten as she read a book, listening to the small TV one of the guards was watching. It was in her line of view, so if she wanted to, she could watch as well...but right now, the protagonist and the love interest were having a charming moment, and Iris wasn’t interested in putting that on pause to watch TV.
Still, it was nice to hear the news. Keep in touch with the world at large, something she hadn’t been able to do back at the tem-
“...and a recent report reveals a shocking truth. Phoenix Wright, notable defense attorney in a variety of bizarre cases, has been disbarred today due to presenting faulty evidence in court.”
She looked up without thinking. To this small screen behind her bars, eyes wide as she watched him leave in a hurry. To the reporters that had gathered, they tried to bother him, but he shoved through, looking just as shocked as she was... Yet more horrified.
This was his life and it was stolen from him.
Just as he had always believed in her, she believed in him; there’s no way he would’ve presented fake evidence. The Phoenix she knows would hunt for the truth and what’s right. Something went wrong there...but what...?
...The book didn’t interest her anymore. Bookmarking it, she placed it on her bed, hands cupping around her mouth. Trying not to cry worried tears, but fighting a losing battle.
(Oh, Feenie... Please be okay...)
“...I’m not really feeling tired tonight... I think maybe I’ll tidy up a few of the guest rooms, then get to baking. I’m feeling like brownies tonight... Maybe peppermint? It feels like it’d be more of a holiday flavor, but it’s a popular flavor, right?
“Hmm. Or maybe I should go for double chocolate? Maybe that would be better.”
“Ring a-round the rosies... Pocket full of po-sies...” “Dahlia” watched her step carefully, heels clicking on the tiled walkway of the path of a nearby botanical garden. A lovely spot any other day, today was...quiet. Too quiet for her liking.
Thus, a much slower version of that popular nursery rhyme. That’s something she would do, right?
“A-shes... A-shes... We all...fall....down.” A soft sigh, peering up from under her parasol at the sky. A lovely blue day, no classes...and Feenie, nowhere to be seen. She’d tried to text him earlier, but to no avail... Hmm. If not today, tomorrow, then?
Spin the parasol idly in her hands before walking over to a bench and sitting down, unsure of what to do. The day was open, Feenie...who knows where, and homework being handled by the real mastermind.
What was left to be done today, then?
“...I wonder...what she’d think of me, right now...”
