Thomas had been listening to Rosamie speak, a small smile on his features- so far he’d made it through the night by saying as little as possible, because he was finding it difficult to remain in character. And letting Rosa take the lead had been easier. “Of course. I mean, Mrs. Fudge and I don’t have a good relationship, but murder?” he replied, shaking his head. “It’s-” he paused, momentarily forgetting his character’s name and looking at his character card to refresh his memory. “Mr. Tapioca. And no need to apologize for rambling.”
“Mr. Tapioca?” Okay that was kind of cute but at the same time the names were the thing making her break character so much. Some of them were so out there from what she had ever heard, even for an evening such as this. Of course, it was her first ever murder mystery party. “As in pudding?” Rosa tried to suppress her smile as her hand went to his forearm, nervous to touch Thomas despite their new arrangement. “How weird would it be if I just called you pudding from now on? Because I suddenly just got the urge.” She was teasing him but she wasn’t sure how well that was being conveyed with her nerves starting to take over. Rosamie had yet to venture into the world of flirting with her fiancé but under the guise of being different people she felt it might be easier. She was wrong. “I don’t believe you could hurt a fly, Mr. Tapioca. People are so quick to judge.”
