BIOGRAPHY (TW: Drug abuse, depression, loss)
Frankie was born and raised in San Francisco, California. They’re mother passed away at childbirth and they’ve never met their father. Raised by their grandparents, Frankie relied on their imagination to make it through the saddest of times. Frankie never felt like they fit in a box. Not when it came to their gender or personality. Frankie was just Frankie and they discovered that pretending to be one movie star or another kept them going. Unfortunately for them, imagination only got them so far. Jumped two grades after being placed with an advanced intellectual quotient, Frankie had trouble keeping up emotionally with their classmates. Can you blame them? They were only 12 when they entered high school.
Eventually, Frankie caught up with the others but never felt a deep connection with their classmates. If anything, Frankie felt isolated most of their adolescence and when imagination no longer worked, Frankie spent most of their days watching classic films and television shows with grandma and papa. When the creative mind turned 17, they lost their grandmother to complications from a hip fracture and papa passed from a broken heart leaving Frankie alone to raise themselves.
School and board provided the housing they needed and dedicating themselves to schooling kept them going but once again, it wasn’t enough and Frankie needed other means to stay focused. It began with Adderall and soon enough they needed help with sleeping and in their sophomore year of college, Frankie spiraled bouncing from one drug to another. The sadness of losing their only family and feeling completely alone was too hard and even harder to admit. Admission wasn’t easy to come by when it came to Frankie. There was never a reason to believe there was a problem and since their grades never suffered, Frankie believed they were on top of the world. That is until it almost cost their life. Landing a stint in rehab, Frankie began to seek help with various advocacy groups and missed their commencement ceremony to finish their sobriety. Almost ten years sober, Frankie has pursued a career in the one thing that saved their life; television and movies.
E! News brought them on as an intern at first and quickly they got a position as a commentator, hitting the red carpet often. Sobriety hasn’t been easy but Frankie has worked hard to stay focused in their career and in advocacy groups leaving them no chance to truly find love. They do dream of romance but wouldn’t even know how to begin to navigate the strange and terrifying world of dating so when this new show came about, Frankie was doubtful at how real any of it was. So their network sent them on a mission and if Frankie found love, it would be a win, right? We’ll see.
August: I’m smart sometimes! I’m sure Jade’s coworkers will help with that kind of stuff, too. But maybe they will crave something clearly not made by a chef 😂 I remember when your sisters were itty bitty babies. They were fun to play with and then give back.
August: You’ve already got a bit of a leg up on me in that department 😆
Frankie: lol you spelled all the time wrong. And yeah!! Just some simple stuff for them to grab and pop into the microwave. I know! And they're growing so quickly too :(
August: If we fill their fridge, it should be food preppy kind of stuff. Nothing they have to put too much labor into. We really are so lucky to have so many babies in our lives. Takes the pressure off us to have them ourselves right now 😂
August: Oh my gosh… that sounds so yummy! Awwww… I love you so much! Yeah, the place is perfect. Near your mom and dad AND soooo close to the beach 🏖️
Frankie: Oh that is genius! I get out of work early so I'll go to the supermarket and get things for them so we can meal prep before we go to them. They're going to be so surprised. And you're telling me! Listen I love new baby smell but not having the pressure is soo nice.
Frankie: I love you too! Aug we're going to be so tanned lmao
August: I would love to see the babies! They’re going to be so tiny…
August: Want to just do some takeout? Or even just eat out? It is such a pain in the ass to find stuff in the kitchen. Babe, we’re going to get it. I’m so confident!
Frankie: yesss! I'll tell Jade. We can bring them something to eat! Or fill up their fridge or something. They are going to be so so small! I can't wait. We're so lucky we get to hang out with everyone's babies lol
Frankie: I like that idea. We'll get something out. I want to try that new icecream place by the bus stop. I heard they have dulce de leche and it's all I've been thinking about. That and you of course. Thanks, Aug. I know you're right but we found something near mom and dad and its perfect and I just hope what we put down will sway the sellers.
Jade: That's very true. I think Rodrigo and I were doing everything in our power to prepare, from reading a ton of books to babysitting Fletcher's daughter. I still can't get over how tiny they are, yet at the same time, I also can't believe that they were inside of me just a few days ago.
Jade: He doesn't, thankfully. It's just me being afraid of hurting him. The both of them have been fairly easygoing so far, I think. Felix likes to sleep a lot and Ciel likes to eat a lot. So far, he cries if his naps are disturbed for a diaper change and Ciel cries if she's hungry. But we're only on day 2 so we'll see how long they're this way lol. I can't wait for you both to hold them and spend time with them, and I can't wait to see you!
Frankie: You guys are going to be such amazing parents. The twins are so lucky to have you both! I can't wait to hold them both at the same time. That was my favorite thing to do with my sisters! Speaking of, how are you feeling/ Are you in any pain?
Frankie: It's okay. I'd cry everyday lol Yes! I'm going to bring Auggie with me and we'll bring food so don't worry about moving. If anything, please shower, nap, whatever you have to do while we're there of if you need us to clean bottles, clean up just let us know!
Frankie: Hey babe! Do you want to come with me to visit the brand-new twins after work? Jade and Rodrigo could probably use a nap and /or shower lol
Frankie: Also, what are we thinking for dinner? I've packed a lot of shit that I feel like we're living out of boxes and now I think maybe I did too much since we don't even know if we'll go under contract at this rate.
Jade: That's what I was told and after our time in the hospital, we expected it lol. I really can't! I don't know that they've spent very long in the co-sleeper bassinets Rodrigo and I have in our room. They definitely haven't slept in their cribs yet.
Jade: I keep tearing up every time I go to change Felix's diaper because I swear I'm causing him some pain whenever I go to put the Vaseline on him. And Ciel falls asleep mid-breastfeed every single time, without fail which is ridiculously cute to me. So I'm still a roller coaster of emotions lol.
Jade: Heyy we had our first night home and it wasn't too bad. Rodrigo and I were awake more than we were asleep but we're still in that 'honeymoon' phase of everything. Just bring yourself over to come see your godbabies as soon as you're free. ❤️
Frankie: lol that was a given! And Of course. I bet you can't stop cuddling those babies! Okay! I'll come by with stuff anyway. I want to know all about new mama Jade!
“Bold? Absolutely! Also gorgeous? Yes! It’s old Hollywood chic, I think. And you’re going to have so much fun with a short hairstyle this summer,” Rebecca smiled. “You throw a hell of a party. I expected nothing less, honestly. You both had the sweetest, most loving vows. You may have cried, but your makeup still looks flawless.” Rebecca and Salvador could have been married a long time ago, but she just never felt like it was necessary. She was going to be with him forever regardless. “You have a honeymoon fund set up, right? I will definitely contribute. But if you want to swing by the office to pick out some summer linens for the beach, let me know.”
"Ahhh I just love you." Frankie not only looked up to Rebecca but they were always here for compliments from her. "I was going for Hollywood chic! You get it! I figured it be less of a fuss in the heat." Frankie agreed with her. "And thank you! We wanted to really do it right this time so we had to have a great party! And yes! We figured it would be the best instead of a registry since we already have what we need!" They smiled and then beamed at Rebecca's offer. "Oh my God! Really? Yes! I'll come by!"
“When I saw you this morning during hair and makeup, I was very surprised. Obviously in a good way. You’re one of those people who could wear anything or do anything to your hair and look incredible. Lucky,” Bea smiled. “I’m having the time of my life! Thank you so much for including me in your day! I knew your vows would bring me to tears and am glad I hid tissues in my hand as I held the bouquet.”
"Pffttt stop. That's you." Frankie winked at their friend. "But thanks, Bea. You're so sweet." They listened to Bea with a smile. "Aw no. Good thing didn't look in your direction then because I would have been more of a mess. I'm so glad you were here beside us and I loved that everyone got the chance to wear the colors that fit them best. You look so good!"
Emma smiled at the explanation. “That makes so much sense. You look gorgeous! I also love the nontraditional wedding gown! This color suits you so well. Are you kidding? I’m having an amazing time! I’ve never been to a wedding on a boat before. Everything around here feels like y’all in the best way. I’m definitely going to use that luggage tag next time I travel. Both of you had beautiful vows. I absolutely love seeing you two together because you’re so clearly head over heels for each other.”
"I knew you'd get it." Frankie smiled at Emma. In truth, they have never cut their hair so short. They looked down at their gown with a giant smile gracing their features. "Thanks, Emma and I am so glad! I You look amazing as always. The luggage tag with such an ode to Auggie since they travel a lot." Frankie's cheeks grew warm. "We are absolutely so in love. August is my person for real." They watched August greet some more guests with a smile. "Are looking to travel anytime soon?"
“You should be proud of your old man for noticing it was shorter. I remember when you dyed it in high school and I didn’t notice for about a week,” Thomas laughed at himself. “It looks very nice at any length, Franks. Of course I’m having fun! I got to walk you down the aisle. This was going to be one of the best days of my life regardless. I did hear their vows, and I’m going to hold them to them.” Thomas put his best Stern Dad face on. “Your vows were very moving, too. I’m so proud of you. It makes me so happy you’ve found someone who clearly loves you as much as you love them.” Thomas hugged his child tight. This wedding brought him closure in a sense. Before, he couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact Frankie was married. Seeing all of this and being part of the ceremony made him realize the young person he helped raise was a real grownup.
"You're so bad at that!" Frankie chuckled and hooked their arm into Thomas' arm, sticking close to him as if she were a tween again. "It was literally fire engine red, Dad!" They were so happy to be enjoying this evening with family and friends. Frankie realized how important this celebration truly was. Frankie listened to Thomas' words and smiled, knowing that he had met with August prior to the wedding. "Thanks, Dad. It's really easy knowing what to say or do watching you and Celeste. And even before all that island stuff, you really instilled some great values in me and taught me about loving gran and papa and not taking them for granted." She wrapped their arms around Thomas. "I'm glad we got to do this."
August smiled at the praise from Frankie and kissed them softly when their guest walked away. “Thank you, babe. I’ve learned from the best, obviously!” They grinned and kissed them again. “You are so beautiful. Not just today. Always. But this dress and everything… you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever known. I’m so glad we got to get married again in front of everyone who matters to us. I don’t think I told you yet, but your dad scared me a bit earlier. He definitely laid the Intimidating Hockey Dad bit on thick. Did he tell you he was going to do that? Or just your mom?"
One of their favorite things about August was how modest they were. It reminded Frankie of how easy it was to fall in love with them. When they honestly complimented August's work and even offered to buy some of it, Aug seemed genuinely shocked and while Frankie wanted to get to know them more, nothing was shocking about how quickly everyone was going to learn that August was talented as hell. "I said what I said." They twirled into August's arms and smiled against their kiss. "Maybe so but that's because you're looking at me with Auggie eyes." They smiled again. "I love you in this color. Honestly, colored suits look sooo good on you." They placed their hands on August's chest and then arched a brow when they revealed that Thomas had been intimidating. "My dad?" It made them giggle and shake their head. "No! But honestly, I think he's been dying to do that since he became a dad so you helped him fulfill a dream." Frankie laughed and looked around. "Everyone looks so happy though. Even Kennedy is dancing with Xavier's assistant. Eliza, right?"
"And that's why I went for the big chop. I think it looks cute. Bold move days before the wedding but I figured I'd surprise you all." Frankie fluffed their hair with a giant smile. "Are you having fun? Did you hear Aug's vows? I cried so hard."
"I am the one who insisted on the... sick bags. I'm just really glad this pile appears to be undisturbed. I wouldn't want anyone feeling ill because of our wedding, especially with all the amazing food. I'm still in awe at everything. I admittedly only gave real input about the food," August laughed. "What's been your favorite thing so far? It doesn't have to be the food, by the way."
Frankie stood beside Auggie as they spoke to one of their guests. They clung to their spouse tightly with a glass of seltzer in their hand. Frankie was beaming as they greeted guests and Aug was so proud about the sick bags that it made Frankie glad to hear them fawn about them. "Aug is super resourceful like that. Also, incredibly modest. The color scheme was also suggested by them." Frankie smiled widely when the guest answered that the theme was their favorite thing so far, adding that they had both come up with that. Their guest left to find their place cards and Frankie turned to face their partner. "You're adorable. You really know how to work a room, by the way!"
