Moon Goddess Selene

Selene is the goddess and personification of the moon in Greek mythology. She is traditionally the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun god Helios and the dawn goddess Eos1. She drives her moon chariot across the sky, and has several lovers, including Zeus, Pan, and the mortal Endymion2. She is often identified with Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, and Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft3. Selene is associated with magic, fertility, and lunar cycles4
