Either Jack was going to be arrested or his mother was going to kill him when he gets home, because landing on the UNIT base without clearance was something he hadn't planned on doing today. But, of course, borrowing the highly unreliable vortex manipulator should have made him realize that a quick trip to try to meet some of his favorite scientists wouldn't actually happen.
He needed to find an exit or some place to hide out long enough for the manipulator to charge back up. He slowed to a stop when he saw a brunette woman staring at him.
"I, um... don't freak or anything, okay? I'm just looking for an exit."
