It took awhile for the other to reply, enough to worry Sammy.  While at home, he’d have more time to worry over it, he really didn’t have much time over on the vacation with Sam to think, let alone worry about how long it had been since he answered the text.  Dean was on his mind, the fact that he was alone now, but not too much worry had started yet.  After all, Dean wasn’t out hunting so it wasn’t like he had a chance of not coming back.

Rolling onto his side, he grabbed at the phone about twenty minutes after it buzzed, frowning as he noticed the alert.  New texts.

[Text: Dean] Have you even been to London?  

[Text: Dean] No fight or anything?

This was stupid.  This was stupid.  No matter how many times he said it in his head, his feet were still moving, the bag over his shoulder heavy.  He knew there were people out there to pull him out at a moment’s notice should be acknowledge them and ask.  Sam might not judge, Dean might- he already judged him for not letting his Dean live there.  His jaw set a little more as he walked on, gaze on Bobby’s house, feeling an odd mix of nostalgia, relief, and stress that seemed to sink him down.

He hadn’t called.  If he’d called and told Bobby or either of them, he might not have had the courage to actually follow through.  Licking his lips, he knocked on Bobby’s door, willing himself to stay there and not bolt.  To actually face what was going to happen. He’d been hiding for months, from the whole world.  He was just going to take what the world gave him anymore, right?  So do it.  If they shot him on the front step- that’d be fine.

He had fallen asleep on the plane for a little while, waking up to the sound of his phone.  Rubbing his face, he could feel a little guilt as he picked up the phone.  Usually he didn’t just up and out like this.

[Text: Dean 6:20 am] Sorry, fell asleep.  Going to London, Sam felt the urge to travel and asked me to go with this time.  We don’t know how long we’re staying, so if it goes for too long, dig into the fridge.  I’ll try, I’ll keep in contact too, just didn’t want to just poof on you guys.
