“Are you really that desperate for company?”
absentisanima:
“Why not outside?”
“Well, I know there’s no one there because it’s private, but there’s always some part that asks what if- “ If only that didn’t add some element to it.
absentisanima:
“At the house.” Their lockdown getaway. He says it like it’s obvious. “Or by the pool at home. Whichever.”
“Why outside, exactly?”
absentisanima:
“I did.”
He flashes another smirk, a little bit impish. “It’s not like I meant in public though.”
“I know that at least, blinds and all usually.” At least on the windows people could see in on. “Outside - where exactly?”
absentisanima:
“Not any more exposure than usual.”
“Then no.” Guess I’m planning a beach trip.
“Depends on how much sunlight, I guess. Was a little worried you meant outside for a second.”
“Right. Good.” He’s painfully aware that Sam is probably planning a beach trip.
absentisanima:
“It does look best in sunlight.”
“Only if you want to get railed in the ocean.” Bet you do.
“I- that’s a lot of exposure for sunlight to hit it.”
“Not particularly, no.” Never know though, mood might hit when we’re there.
absentisanima:
“I’ll have to do it more often then. It’s one of my favorites.”
He scoffed. “Are showers open ground?”
“I guess we do have all summer, not that we haven’t been spoiled for time with everything else.”
“So if it involves water it’s just considered free for all?”
absentisanima:
Sam’s mouth twitches. “That one doesn’t need much maintenance since you gotta be convinced onto it.”
He crosses his arms. “You liked the gallery. It was basically your idea. The hot tub can’t be considered an ambush since you’re in a hot tub.” Which was an invitation if he’d ever seen one.
“You seem to convince me well enough.”
“And hot tubs are just open ground?”
absentisanima:
“We do. I clean it out sometimes to make sure everything’s still good.”
Sam smirked. “Scared I’ll ambush you during parent teacher interviews again?”
“Better still be good with how expensive it was.” That one is almost an embarrassed mutter.
“Don’t remind me. Or just in that break room at that gallery. And the hot tub. And the bar.”
absentisanima:
“If it makes you feel better I never reuse things with different people.”
It was a little tiny bit of a trick question. But mostly he was teasing. “How much should you?”
“I know, it’s all new. You told me when I first got here. I think we still have my box of things in the bedside table.”
“Considering your libido? Probably not whenever you want.” Though he wouldn’t deny him, probably, and he knew it.
absentisanima:
“You’ve seen the closet. I think you have some idea.”
…“So you’re saying you don’t need a warning for if I’m angling to get down and dirty? I can just…go ahead and do it even when you’re not sleeping?”
“I’ve never put that much thought into how you use it all on others, just when it involves me.”
“I- feel like that’s a trick question, even if it isn’t.” Never mind the jokes about spontaneity kinks. “No? Fuck, I trust you a lot more than I should.”
absentisanima:
O-kay. “You know I meant just…a general one and not a look-behind-that-curtain one. It’s not like we venture into that much anyway.” He didn’t think they needed it. But then, his not that much could be alot for other people.
“I just agreed about that. I don’t know what you do with others, Godzilla, but I haven’t felt the need for one.”
absentisanima:
“Usually it starts with looking over or thinking about it. Sometimes one inspires the other.”
He frowned faintly. “Well yeah but it’s not like being able to freak you out is more important than if you decided you need a trigger word.”
“I mean - you usually don’t pull things out of nowhere in the middle of stuff happening, so I don’t think I need one. I always say no early on and keep my ground.” Sometimes, he’s finding he’s more easily convinced of things than he’d like - at least by Sam.
absentisanima:
“You gave me permission for that. And I’m part of ‘we’. ‘We’ is both of us. I get half.
……Do you need a constant start point?”
“I mean- I guess I can give you that. I did give you permission.” And he likes it. “Doesn’t mean it’s not there though. No, I don’t need a constant start point. I like things how they are. Didn’t you just say you didn’t want to be predictable?”
absentisanima:
“We have to start somewhere, no?”
“Dude, there is no constant start point with you. Half the time I just wake up and have no idea where you started it.”
absentisanima:
“No it’s just been awhile since you stroked me.”
“Because usually that’s not enough.”
absentisanima:
“Boring would be nice, yeah. How about ugly? Off-putting? Crass?”
“Worried I’m going to find someone else?”
